Headlight tinting?

Headlight tinting?
My driver side headlight leaks and has water drops and fogs on the inside after even the slightest wet weather event. Rather than take the unit out and pull it apart and reseal and reinstall I thought I might just tint the outside light covers charcoal.
Has anyone tried this???

well tinting it will not solve the leak. either way u do it to tint or to seal i have to get the headlight off. they also got other colors other then smoke.

not too hard once off use some clear rtv to seal around. then soapy water and a squeegee and a hair dryer to put the tint on and u can knock them both out at once.

I reside in Lauderhill so I am a SF guy also. I would like to clarify, it is not legal to tint the headlights in the state of Florida?

This has been an ongoing issue now since I bought the car three years ago. There must be an easier way to fix the leak other than pulling the headlight assembly out which appears to be an all day project.
If anyone has a suggestion for an easier fix I would be grateful.

Did it to mine bro..Granted it might look cool and all, but the cops stare so hard at you and night time driving blows..I blacked mine out because of the same problem. Now hearing everyone tell me "oh the cops are gonna be messing with you" and having the cops always stare at me I just gave in and bought new headlights and tails off ebay. They are actually in the mail as we speak..I hope at least..
