Debadge Problems
So it seems that the simplest thing has given me a problem. I took off the A-C-U-R-A and the 3.2 CL. I got all the adhesive off but there was still a slight outline of the letters. I tried every thing including compound just to realize that the out line is actually etched into the paint way to deep for compound to make a difference. Anyone ever hear of this happening and if so suggestions? thanks

thats damaged clear coat you can try to buff it out but same thing happened to my car and I was not able to buff it out.
|
Ya i tried polish, compound, wax..nothing worked. The cars black so im thinkin of just spraying them mat black and putting them back on</p>
|
My car needs paint really bad anyways so I'll take car of everything if I decide to paint it.
|
Ya thats definatley gonna take care of the problem lol..my paints fine so im just gonna have to put em on
|
Yeah...that adhesive can really get on there...
Mine was like baked on! I still have a faint outline of part of it... Did you try paint cleaner? Something with spirits in it? |
No i didnt..ill try it . The only thing is that when i run over it with my nail i can feel its pretty deep so i dont see it coming off but ill try
|
Well...paint cleaner lifted a little off mine..from what I remember.
Try some Meguiars Paint Cleaner...pretty cheap and if it doesn't work out it's a good thing to keep on hand. |
Ok thanks
|
Try this also...
Post your issue in a new thread over in the Wash & Wax Forum. https://acurazine.com/forums/wash-wax-23/ A lot of knowledgeable folks over there and they can probably add some more suggestions. They have helped me a lot in the past. |

That is kind of risky IMO...
People that are not familiar with wet sanding can really do a lot of damage. |

I had a similar problem on my old car 95 maxima I took it to a body shop and they siad they were going to do a high speed buff and it would melt the actual clear coat . it worked on my car and there was a pretty big lip or indent
