Hey guys,

I have a rattle that sounds like its coming from around the glove box. I took everything out, even left the door open, but still rattling. I noticed one day that the dashpad from about the center of the pad to almost the passenger side edge by the windshield was moving/bouncing. When I was able to stop and check, that side of the dashpad is loose. I had Acura replace it about 30000 miles ago, but it was 4 years in time. Has anyone changed a dashpad before that could tell me if there are just clips there that it just needs to pop back down or if it is more indepth. I have a feeling going back to the dealership will not be a cheap visit. Thanks.

 

this is what the car looks like with no dash. there are 3 or 4 large 'pins' that secure the top part of the dash closest to the windshield.

I take it your talking about the white circular pins in the pictures? If my pad came loose from one or more of those pins, how can I get it back in? Does pushing down on the pad in the right spot pop it back in? Thanks again
