CV joints gone bad

My cv joints went bad after having my car lowered for one month. Is there any connection between my joints going bad, and lowering my car? Also are cv joints very hard to swap out?

could be. how low are you on your SS?

lowering any car puts extra strain on suspension components. Therefore certain parts wear out faster. you gotta pay to play.

It is a possibility, lowering your car changes the CVJ operating angle and like Anziboy said: puts extra strain on suspension components but most of failures comes from broken CV boots. Did you check if they are ok? Replacing half shafts assemblies requires moderate skill , but solid tools - 36mm nut needs 500lbf impact or good wrench. You need to separate lower ball joint, remove CV nut and strut fork bolt. The hardest part is separating inner cv joint from differential - its held in place by C ring that needs to be force broken. Thats it!
