Can I use the 205/55R/16 tires?

Hello.

My 2000 CL (not type-s) has 205/60R/16 size tires.
Can I use 205/55R/16 tires from a 06 civic?

Thanks.

Sure you can, the only disadvantage is that these tires will have diameter a bit smaller, causing your speedo to be off by + mile or two.

What about another car which gave the tires to me? I mean the tires are switched on each other.

Difference is very slim so besides slight speedo error , should be no problems for both cars
