Adding wood trim kit to type S

I have a late '03 Type S, black on black, or as I like to think of it "Blackura": I've seen the basic CL coupe's that has the wood trim on the console and doors, and would really like to warm up the dark interior of my Type-S with the wood. What are my options/sources to replace the brushed aluminum trim? Thanks in advance, Stealth Mode

I personally dont like the woodgrain, but I have seen the kits on ebay, just search CL interior or something like that.

Have you considered the black marble in the 01-02 Cl's or if that isn't an option for you, paint the trim satin black.

Evan03CL - what kind of shape is it in, and do you have wood for the console, front doors and rear sides of the interior? Also, how easy are the pieces to R&R? Send me some pics of yours, I'll do the same, soon as I figger out how to post pics to the forum. Stealth

I would say an ebay kit..taking off your trim and swapping it would be too much hassle. You can get a full kit for like 120 bucks shipped.

i'd sell you my wood trim on the front door panels, rear door panels, and center console if you're interested.

You can only replace the trim pieces on the side of the console. The rest are rivited onto the doors & side panels. You would need to replace the entire door panel, or paint the trim pieces carefully.

Well anything can be replaced but you cannot purchase the door panel pieces from Acura. They sell the entire interior door panel as one piece. Best bet is to find someone to trade the entire panel with you. Eliminated having to tear apart the door panels.

rivets... They are just melted plastic honestly.. You could probably get away with either heating it up and pulling away then using glue on the rear to get it back together or just cutting the rivets and gluing.

Anything is possible however swapping door panels is MUCH MUCH easier.

what is "stealth mode"?

anyways man, get back to me, we can either just swap center console, and paint the door panels, or if you really want to ship both door panels to each other, we can figure it out

Sorry guys

No, sorry, Stealth Mode doesn't mean I can't be found. Been out of town. Thanks for all the replies. i've done some research myself and found what you've said: the pieces on the door panels are "permannetly" installed. I think I'll just stay with what I have for now, so thanks all. This was sounding to be more work than i planned for. -SM
