Question 2001 CL-S Location of Intermittent Wiper Relay

On a Acura 2001 CL-S, where is the Intermittent Wiper Relay located? When I turn on the wipers in the intermittent wiper position, the wipers don't start. Slow, high, and washer work correctly. Once the CL warms up, the intermittent position works. I think the intermittent relay is the cause of the problem, but I don't know where to find the relay.

Holy cow, I have the same issue. I'll take a look at the wiring diagrams.

Smile Intermittent Wiper Relay Location

The intermittent wiper relay is located under the hood on the driver's side (left side). There is another relay box to the left and above the intermittent relay box. I have not figured out how to access it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :-)

I just checked on my six speed and the clutch master cylinder reservoir is right smack in the way, lol.
If you have an automatic CLS it should look similar to the picture on the link below:

You might have to remove the Multi Relay box (MRB) at the left and above the intermittent wiper relay, as mentioned above, to get enough room to get to it.

The MRB bracket; #7 on the link below, looks like it is held by a bolt to the chassis or the MRB may release from the 'bracket' that holds it in place; however, I'm not sure how. You are going to have to 'mess' with it, the MRB, to find out. Then, of course, you have the intermittent relay box; #22 and the relay #40 itself to contend with.

Good Luck!

I cannot figure how to get the Intermittent Relay Box out of the CL-S. I searched the webs, but I could not find anything. The Acura Repair Manual is zero help for removing the relay box. Any suggestions?
