It started doing this last night. Whenever i press in on the gas to get it accelerate past 3000rpm it loses power. The engine has a roar to it. the check engine light finally came on this morning. It showed cylinder 1-6 misfire and a random multiple misfire. It starts perfect and idles perfect. please help!

 

...Also it has a valve tick around 5000rpm.

 

that's is a vtec issue. pull the valve cover and look at the cam and followers. I bet you'll find a broken pin. post a pic of what you find.

 

Check spark plugs and coil packs. One may have failed causing the misfire in one cylinder and subsequently throws off the others and gives a multiple misfire CEL.
