03 CL-S 6MT clutch questions

I just recently purchased a red on parchment 03 cls 6 speed sight unseen

After doing some driving I realize that it desperately needs a clutch
( in 6 th gear doing 80mph if I give it half throttle it just revs to the sky until I let off and bit and it grabs hold)

I've read on this forum and a few others about the issue since I figure it might be hard to get a clutch seeing as how roughly only 2500 made it to the states

I've seen only one company makes an entire kit and it's 1800$

I find that to be kind of ridiculous seeing as how I've put a clutch in many bows for wayyyy less than that

Also some say that a clutch for an 03-06 accord v6 speed with work but not the pressure plate?

I've found a few clutches like exedy that come with a pressure plate clutch and release bearing for around 400$ but they say they will also work with the 3.0 6speed accord

Can someone please clear this up for me? I need to act very quickly in getting this problem fixed

Just use an oem clutch. Not sure what you're talking about with the 1800 clutch.

There is a Luk clutch kit that sells for around $200 which I have heard is the same company that supplies Honda with there OEM clutches, and is also the same as the Exedy clutch which sells for slightly more money. $1800 is way too much!

Luk is the company that makes the OEM clutch, cause I got an OEM clutch and pressure plate and it had Luk stamped right on it. I bought my flywheel here: http://www.carolinaclutch.com/ShowIt...0Flywheel.aspx

Go OEM, and have the flywheel re-surfaced to prevent chattering. I'm getting the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and the flywheel re-surfaced for $1200 by an Acura certified mechanic. I would try to do it myself but I don't have the tools or a location to work on it.

I have a chattering/slip issue, planning on going with the Luk clutch as well. Anyone have a preference on a lightweight flywheel that would work with this clutch or should I get a different clutch package with an upgraded flywheel?
