01 CL Help please
CL dies slowly while driving eventually turns off and then won't start due to no power ...jumpstart it starts up managed to catch a check engine light codes coming up as trans range switch could that kill power ? If not alternator ? Had it tested at Autozone they claim it's good ....help Please !!!!!!

Trans range switch has nothing to do with the car running or not. It has to do with your gear selector and whether it is telling the ecu and transmisson the actual position you are in.
You say the car dies slowly? What does that mean exactly?
If after it is dead and you go to start it. Explain what happens, sounds you hear, lights on dash. Explain everything you can.
So you had the battery tested or the alternator tested?
If you jump the car and it does start. I would think the battery is not completed destroyed to the point it's killing the power to the car. When the alternator goes that is what happens. The jump charges the battery a bit. You go driving and the alt is not making any power to go into the battery and then the car withers away till it stops working. Then usually you get clicking or lights coming on in the dash area if you go to start it again.
Do your power locks work? If they also do not work... It's the battery or the alt. if you are really really unlucky it could be both lol. But the car Gods would have to hate you for this to be so.
