Hey everyone, just got a quick question about the rear turn signals. I want to get rid of the orange bulb and put a white one in...any recomendations? I know PIAA makes them but their really bright with a tint of blue right? I just want a white bulb. Any links would be great too. Thanks in advance!

Hey Krisqo, you can go out and just buy a set of Krypton bulbs at autozone or pepboys. I'm not sure if the TLS rear turn signals are the same as the CLS but I got some 1156LLs and and my buddy drummeled one of the pegs off of each bulb to get them to fit. I've had them in for about 10 months with no problems. Bulbs only cost about 5 bucks. The signals are white as opposed to blue. I personally like the look. Next thing I need to do is clear my front corners!

Is it legal to have white bulbs as opposed to yellow? Or do you just plan to switch them out when you get the car inspected? If it isn't legal, can you be pulled over for it or is it one of those things that they will get you for if they pull you over for something else?

I guess they can technically pull you over for it. I always get nervous when po-po is behind me and I need to switch lanes. Its illegal to have anything other than amber or red lights as rear turn signals. I still have my stock lights if I ever need to switch them back for any reason.

I "HEARD" it was illegal to have rear turnlights anything other than amber or red, but they really don't mind in the front. I have had my blue turns in front over a year and nothing. I have '01 tails and they are red, so i haven't really tested them. I'm kind of curious myself to see if anyone has gotten away with white rear turn signals. . .

get LED's. they are the only light close enough to the HID headlights. In the day you can barely see them but at night they are bad ass.

I've seen about 20 volvos (mostly wagons), that have white rear turn lamps... maybe people couldnt find the right size amber replacement ones, but on that many cars?? maybe its how they come from the dealership - then legal? I'm in SF Bay Area

It definatley is illegal ( in florida atleast ) to have white or any other color beside amber turn signals. I got pulled over just for that, played dumb, and the cop just gave me a warning. most cops dont care though, its usually just another exscuse to pull you over and search your car.

I get pulled over pretty frequently. Normally they just ask for License and Regestration and let me go. The cops never give me a hard time about the white blinkers. Even when I got 3 tickets one night they still didn't bust me for ther blinkers. knock on wood.
