What a difference 30 years (of technology) makes
It was really nice when I got home from work today. I decided to unbury my 71 442 "stick" car, since I hadn't had it out for 8 or 9 months. Took it to the car wash, then "air dried" it while running it through its gears. It was fun. The CL was in need of a quick bath also, so when I got back home I did the same for the CL. The CL beats the Olds in almost every imaginable catagory except maybe "Coolness". For those of you who have never driven late 60's and early 70's american muscle I will tell you its a blast. But the CL is every bit as fast, smoother shifting, and so much more comfortable. I then took some pics of my 2 "stick" cars.

Chevelles are basically the same car, only more common. When these cars were built The hierarchy at GM went Cadillac, Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Chevy. Cadillac did not offer Muscle Cars. The Buicks and Oldsmobiles offered better ride quality and handling, nicer interiors, etc. Kinda like Honda compared to Acura. Basically the same car with more attention to details in the higher end models.

Heck Mike, I think nice chevelles (muscle cars in general)can be bought for about what a 3-4 year old TL can be had for. Or just a little more than you would have in a nice CL after all the $$ you spend on mods.
