Whoa, that supercharger is tall!!

what are the details in car and overall build?

gnuts 11-20-2016 07:57 PM

At least you won't get heat soak in the engine bay.

haha yea i drove back and the blower and intake was coooold to the touch.:woot:

I'd guess you'd be more than 300. Although stock J35A3 you might lose a little top end without the type S cams. I'm pretty sure 6speed guys with the HBP (comptech kit) were seeing like 320whp.

Any plans for a modified hood? How was tuning with the FIC6? what harness did you use?

Marcelechka 11-21-2016 08:39 AM

^ Agree with gnuts... good guess would be +/- 345 range.

i swapped all the cams/rockers from the old a2 into the a3. only thing i couldnt get was the valve springs

i have a cut out hood, i just decided to run without for a few days. it hasnt rained here in over month.

my friend street tuned the FIC. it was really straight forward. running fic6 with boomslang harness. plugs right in, no issues so far. really pleased with the performance vs cost of it.

i ordered a 3.4" pulley and pulley removal tool from ZZP. should be at around 8psi. gonna order some injectors next from injector nation. 600cc pnp for less than 400$ is a good deal. we saw over 100% duty cycle on aem logs using stock injectors. had to add 40% more fuel across the board to get it into the 11.8-12.3 range under boost. but it feels awesome on the highway. definitely turns head and makes some noise. i love it. its really gonna be wild with 8psi though! i cant wait!!

when i feel like i get it out sorted out, i wanna write up a solid diy/guide for using m90 with prank parts plate. its really easy but definitely some areas that are left unknown.

Good call on upgrading your injectors. I went with Bosch injectors w/ pigtails at 485cc while running 10psi at full boost with plenty of room left; you'll be more then fine at 600cc. It's always easy to tune under full load, whereas cleaning up the map in normal driving conditions was a pita. Once done though, you can get on it at any gear / rpm and it'll rip with no dead spots.

Congrats on the build!

Thanks. Ill look into other injectors. I don't really plan on running this setup for too long. I eventually want to go turbo and make big power.

Looks good. Did the boomslang harness work without any issues? Last I heard it was not wired exactly correctly for o2 skewing, but that was a few years back.

Are you using the successfully using the o2 skewing function?
