Summer pictures/mod thread
So, although I won't have TOO much money, I'm atleast going to do a couple little things to the CL this summer (LEDs, Type S cluster, etc.) And since none of them will warrant a FULL thread, I figured an ongoing one wouldn't be a bad idea.
So i'll be updating this everyonce and a while with pictures and progress.
Anyways, I'm leaving for west palm beach for an internship w/ the State Attorney's office this week until August, so if anyone is down that way let me know. Anyways, just washed her up this afternoon for the trip down. Enjoy.

Gonna cost to catch up
man... you should have lowered the car a long time ago. Its the only reason why the car looks "off". Before investing money on anything else in your car, you need to lower it.

nice work with the lip kit, looks really clean...and that's cool that you're enjoying modding however you can and enjoying the summer, that's what it's all about

new gauges! and new pics!
So I did a bit of work today with the packages I've gotten in the mail. First I replaced all my puddle lamps w/ LEDs (night time pics will be later), and second I got my Type-S cluster in. I gutted the cluster and took out the gauge faces and slapped them into my CL-P cluster. Think it turned out pretty well, all functioning, and didn't have to do any of that odometer swap or anything like that since I just took the faces out. Enjoy
Say goodbye to the old black faces
And hello to the new white ones!

picture of the LEDs in the puddle lamps. (they look blue, but they're hyper white, not sure why the pic came out like that)

It's about 5 extra minutes to devote instead of just swapping the cluster, but its well worth it.

I got a Type S gauge cluster from ebay for about 45 dollars shipping included. And then the gauge faces (by faces I mean the needles, faces, needle motors, etc.) the whole unit just pops out of the cluster. There are little metal tabs that you need to bend out to release them, but then you just swap the three black gauges for the white gauges. This allows you to not get that TCS/TSA light that people always talk about, you won't have the temp. gauge problems, and you get to keep your same odometer reading, etc.

The silver gauges i think are privately made, and they're just "overlays", so its like a piece of paper you're sticking over your stock gauge. I've never seen anyone with them, I'm not really sure who is buying them.
Here's the type S gauge

AND ANOTHER!

haha anyways..
no I don't have a write but...but honestly, you don't need it. here's a quick one
1. take the gauge bezel out (it pops out)
2. unclip all the wiring harnesses
3. unscrew the gauge cluster
4. pop off the plastic covering
5. un-bend the metal clips on the back of the gauges
6. take out the black gauges
7. put in the white gauges
I did this without a write up, so you'll be fine!
