That sucks. I wonder if people who are snapping axles is it because they just can't handle the power or is it because they rust and weaken over the years and eventually snap where the rust damage is?

I had small wheel hop when i broke it. I knew what it is imidiately. Axle is worn pretty bad once i get it out i will post better pictures. I knew that they are on their way to go so i think its my fault. Anyway that was oem and im picking up advance one now.

Also according to the guy in the store GSP axles are brand new ones not like autozone and other brand remanufactured/rebuild/refurbished.

I'll know all too well about snapping axles. Ive done it multiple times since owning my blower. But I still won't give up the blower. I like it too much.

A little bit of both.

When the shaft snaps, thats usually rust.

But the bearings cant handle a whole lot of power. They end up cracking in the cv.

Especially for something that doesnt have a lifetime warranty and is not a whole lot better then the GSPs.

I wonder if Drive Shaft Shop would do group buy pricing

The 03 TLS/CL-S6 OEM driveshafts are only second (in cost) to the 05 NSX ($800/806). Even the '11 AWD TL is about half the price of the CL's. It is crazy!

ok car is fixed now i had problem to seperate the lower ball joint from lca and i ended up doing upper one. i leaked some tranny fluid due to having old one out (i didnt know that it's gonna leak oil when the axle is out)

it was a nice day to snap the axle i wish i could make it to that meet cars looked good

i kinda liked how does my car look on the flat bed

and this is close up picture how does my snapped axle look like

you can see how bad it was eaten by rust

thanks too you Jose and your guys that went back and helped me push the car down to the parking lot.

Those are the pics that i took before we got there(and i snapped axle)

i hope those rolling shots will make you keep the car...

109k right now. Running strong. I have CEL for a few weeks now and it keeps coming back. Acura tech told me its a EGR that needs to be cleaned up. Misfire codes and P1399. He told me to try use 10mm drill bit to clean IM port.

As for cans... They look big yes but sounds good though.

Sucks about the axles. Don't the ones at the autostore have a lifetime warranty? I haven't had a problem with mines since the Gator's and I got them installed after the blower so I've put probably 30k abusive miles on them. I'm of course knocking on wood as I type this though

Here is their website. www.gatorracingaxles.com

You fill out a form with all your vehicle specs and what you plan on using the car for and they build based on that.

Are you gonna keep the blower?

Good luck with the blower. Sucks that you never got to really use it.

Accordingly- what kind of parts are you interested in? I'm in NJ tho..

shit man, bad run of luck. How do you know the blower needs to be rebuilt?
The polished blower looks great with everything else being black. I was actually wondering how mine would look in matte black. I might try to remove the blower and adjust my valves myself in the spring. I'll be asking you a million questions.
Oh, got my exhaust tips lowered for now, and got a quote on a 3" mandrel stainless cat --> axleback. ~$500 not sure how good that is.

Blower makes some weird noises that freaks me out i spoke with Paul and he confirmed my thoughts. Last time i installed blower and oil leaked that probably killed bearings and who knows what else. I was told to remove belt imediately so i did. I am gonna try to figure out what im gonna do now because i am having a mental crisis. I am thinking about dumping the car and move on but on the other hand i fell in love with blower and i want it back running asap. I am sending the blower to magnuson for inspection. For anyone else that will atempt install the blower do it with the camshaft bracket on the blower!!!

I am pissed seriously. I just hope it wont cost arm or leg to get fixed but thats my priority now.

As far as the exhaust shop quote that what they quote me in te other places. If they do quality work and welding i would go for it. My exhaust will wait till i make up my mind. Just feel free to ask anything about valve adjustment. I can give you my cell and if you need help i will be happy to help you. I need a drink...

x2 on relaxing and keeping the car. After I got mine installed, a couple weeks later i got a sound in the blower that sounds like loose nails rattling around. Had it rebuilt and haven't had a problem since. Sounds like during swap/install these things can be touchy but it'll be fine once it gets a refresh.

Good to hear that, I've been waiting to get mine back from Paul so I can install it. Now you've got me thinking if I should pay him to install??
Regarding your car don't give up quite yet, given what the other guys are saying just get it right and enjoy it.

Thats exactly what it is. How much did you end up paying to have it rebuild?

Are you tuned ?
