Spoon Calipers Installed *PICS*

Hi all,

Sorry it took this long, but couldn't find a day that it wasn't raining since I installed the calipers. Installed are the following since I last posted pics on my website:

Mugen Spoiler
Spoon 4 Pot Calipers
Endless CC-X Brake Pads
Honda Access Rain Visors
Mugen Pedals (no pics yet..sorry!)
JDM Inspire Door Sills

Check it out at http://www.inspires.ca

Thanks

This may be absurd and stupid because i am out of the loop, but what or why? "inspire" on the TL? Is that just your car's name or is there a JDM INSPIRE on the market?

The Acura TL in Japan is sold as the Honda Inspire.

Woodsdaddy,

I got them at A & J Racing here in Vancouver. Their website is http://www.aj-racing.com. You can call Ben @ 604-279-0329 and tell him Eric told you to call. He'll give you a good price.

I saw your ride in a parking lot off #3 road on Tuesday, looks nice. Samson @ Super racing has the same wheels that he might sell to me, but I'm not a big fan of the bronze color.

Hi there,

If you are looking at JDM wheels, have a look at the Kruezer X, I think they look really good, I may get a set for the winter since I've sold my stock wheels already.

Or another wheel is the Buddy Club Racing II, I'm not sure if you've seen them yet, they have a polished lip, and a choice of silver, gun metal, and satin bronze.

You can always get the wheels painted if you don't fancy the bronze color. I think Samson knows a couple of pretty good shops for wheel painting.

InspireS, I like the Kruezer wheel as well. I'm not to keen on getting wheels painted as you can run into QC problems. There's a lot of nice chrome 3pc wheels on the market. If I do get wheels, it will be mostly something in 19" chrome.

I look forward to seeing your ride at the next local meet!

Scooter,

The black TL was in an accident and the front end was damaged. Thus, we had to order another grille assembly for it. It should be back on sometime this week.

would u say the spoon calipers have more bite than the NSX or the Legend GS calipers? i read on the TL board that these two applications should be swappable on a TL (and suppose-ably a CL).

I really couldn't comment on that since I've never done the swap nor have driven a TL with that kind of swap.

Is there anyone on this board or the TL board that has tried to swap the NSX calipers on a TL/CL?

I have a friend who has an ITR that has NSX Calipers, they are noticably better.

Good luck!

Hi Lou,

The Mugen pedal covers are great, actually the best is the brake pedal cover. I am not sure if they are worth $174USD, I a paid a little less than that from my local shop A & J Racing.

I presume they will fit the CLS, I didn't do the install myself one of the guys at the shop did it for me. Apparently they had to cut some of the plastic from the gas pedal, but other than that he said it was easy.

You can try giving them a call to get a price, since your American dollar is like gold here in Canada. Call 604-279-0329 you can ask for Ben and say Eric told you to call him. Or email him at ben@aj-racing.com.

I know for a fact they have them in stock.

Good luck!

Hi Laser,

The Spoon Calipers I have are from the AP1 (S2000) Application, minor modifications are needed for the mounting brackets to fit. If you need more info you can contact Ben@AJ Racing 604-279-0329 or email him at ben@aj-racing.com, you can say Eric told you to call.

Wow , that is some really good bodywork. I could not even tell the car had been in an accident if you didn't say so. Was it a bad accident?

SFLA,

Someone ran a stop sign and hit the black TL head on. The front grille, bumper, HIDS and hood were all replaced.
