They provide a bit more insulation for the intake manifold. Check out the website. They were really easy to install. And it allowed you the oppertunity to clean out the crap from the trottle body, if there is any.

Bad month for the ride, after finding it all dented up (some people had a fight on top of it) my lil bro got a hold of my keys while I was on vacation, mad as hell when I saw it and broke a wheel driving it out of the lot. The static cling film I was using had a couple small holes in them. I'm procrastinating on putting new pieces on. The "No-Blue" look is growing on me though.
