PICS Buddy's CL-S accident and new muffler pics.

I spent a few hours cleaning up a set of new/used Thermal R&D mufflers for my buddy's CL-S which should be out of the body shop in the next week or so. He currently doesn't have a cardomain site, so I thought I'd add the pics to mine. Check out the pics and let me know what you guys think.

Click this link for pics.

Well, the mufflers themselves are 100% stainless steel, so I just used hot water and soap to get the big stuff off. The pipes were another story. I used my trusty Dewalt drill and a wire brush attatchment to clean those. To polish them after I was done with all that I used.

Like $4 at AutoZone. Worked wonders. Can be used on all metal surfaces.

Anybody comment more about these thermals? I really like the "M5ness" of the double pipes. More info is appreciated...

Yeah, he likes the Continentals a lot. We're in Ohio and he wanted a great all season tire and the Continental was a great choice. There was roughly $14k in damages.

No, they haven't been installed yet. Once my buddy gets his car back from the body shop, I'll be installing them along with an AEM intake.

Thanks, and I don't even own an Acura. You should see the amount of time I put into my own car. Lets just say, he owes me

You can pick them up by ordering from Thermal R&D's webpage. I belive the set that I took pics of are a pair of universal mufflers and the previous owner took them to a muffler shop to have the pipe and flanges welded on.

Well 5 months after Auchbach got the car, its still being worked on.
Notice the Ferrari and BMW in the background.

They were waiting on some part from Acura for over 6 weeks alone.
His mufflers are collecting a lot of dust waiting for his car to be done.

Well, 8 1/2 months to the day he dropped the car off, we picked it up. After $14k+ worth of damage, you can't even tell that it was in an accident. He's actually forgotten just how powerful the car is, so it kinda surprised him at first.

And here was the before shot...

Apparently there were quite a few parts that were on back order from Acura for quite some time. Also, this is a really busy shop that isn't too large, but they do really good work. Typical cars on the lot are BMW's, Audi's, Benz, Ferrari's, Porsche's, etc.
