Cool THE NUMBER 23 - NBP :::::::::::::56k needs lube::::::::::::

yes, there are 25 pictures. and yes, i am 25 years old.

and as usual, these are in chRONological order

my recent two upgrades/mods; 18s and the oil filter:

went back to stock rims for a couple weeks.
i had a little vibration up front.
those rims without hubcentric rings was a no-go.

although, running the stocks requires a 5mm spacer.
my H&R spacer comes at a loss too.
it makes for a flat hub.
thus, i need to manually center the front stock rims.

oh the cost of good brakes! lol

besides those things, my new/used ride is pimpin perfect!!!

how it sat as of yesterday afternoon

(yes, i know i am running 4-lugs on the one corner; noticed when taking these)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< <<<<

i ordered my hubcentric rings and got them within 4 days.
waited until the rain ceased then put the 18s back on yesterday.
the tires are 225/40/18.
my stocks have 235/45/17, which is 3.5mm less than oem size of 215/50/17
i will go 235/40/18 next as currently i am running 9.6mm smaller than oem.
that is nearly half an inch!
235/40 will bring me to 1.6mm under oem so that will be perfect!!!

mall security rolled up on me:

...said i can't take pics there so i changed location

in due time:
DIY black housing
Comptech Icebox
...so i only have to remove the bumper once.

Comptech B-Pipe
de-badge
paint red rear calipers
yellow tint the driving lights (well, when their blue bulbs go out)
maybe smoke the tails

MOD LIST:
Rotora 13" BBK
Ingall's Camber Kit
Koni Yellow Shocks/Struts (rear set to lower perch)
Comptech Sport Springs
Comptech F&R Sway Bars
Comptech Axle-back
Comptech Headers
K&N drop-in filter
Acura Racing Pedals
Acura CL Type-S Door Sills
XM radio
Infinity Basslink
Nav2go unit:
-Front/Rear Cameras
-DVD player in rear center console
35% Tint
Hella Micro DE fog lights
Clear Bra on headlights, driving lights, sidemirrors

BONUS:
a free background for you guys!

thanks for the replies guys!

i think the stocks look better in the pics, but the 18x7.5 +42 Sportmax 002 look better in person.

additionally, like i stated in the original post i do not need to run any spacer with the 18s for them to clear the front brakes and the only draw back for me is that the tires are a bit small for the car. later down the road when i get 235/40/18s it will fill in the gap like the stockies did with 235/45s
but yea, i didnt take many pics with the 18s so maybe i need better pics. haha

again, thanks for looking!!!

i'm beginning to hear this a lot. i personally like the black rims because its sorta translucent to the brakes. you know what i mean?
anyway, once you go black you never go back...

haha jk
...i actually had a black car, then i went to red, and then back to black

some news, I ALREADY BOUGHT MY NEW TIRES!!!
i am able to pawn off my 98% tread 225/40/18s to my cousin for his e46.
the tires probably have only 2k miles on them!
i already bought some new 235/40/18s which are sitting in storage, probably install this week or the next.

SAY GOODBYE TO THE FENDER GAP! I might even be tucking in the rear.
my pondering about dropping the front more has begun, but i will have to see how these tires fit first.

some more pics before i change out the tires
i took these the day after the previous ones lol

Keyes Acura in Van Nuys, CA

my fav pic of the rims:..

the next couple weeks i'm getting some more things done so be sure to come visit this thread soon!

Nice car/shots. Is your car a 6spd? I'm asking, because you said that you'll be getting an Icebox and I only saw that they were listed for 6spd Type S and not AT Type S.

nope, AT. it is a 2002. 6sp was only available 2003.
the Comptech Icebox is, or was, available for AT too.

Where did you purchase it from (if you don't mind telling)? I'm seriously interested in one.

Dang! Have you noticed much of a difference? I know they are supposed to give you ~6hp. How does it sound, did you install it yourself? Worth the $$?
