Newbie...just wanted to post some pics...
2001 Type-S...with everything but a spoiler.
...no mods just yet as i've only had it about 2 weeks, but since my wife and i have a little civic hatch as a project car, im keeping this one pretty much the way it is, probobly gonna grab the Injen intake my buddy has for like $100...he had a type-s as well but sold it earlier this year for an RSX, so i figure why not, give it a little bit more throaty sound but nothing too extreme...thinking about lowering it but im loving the ride even with the wider tires, and with our hatch dropped pretty much to the ground, im no fan of the bouncy horrible ride of slammed cars.
Anyways...just thought id share as my first post, hope to learn a good bit about my new baby here...

And just for the hell of it in case there are any civic fans here...heres a pic of the hatch you can see in the garage above...putting together a B18C1 for it right now, still trying to find a tranny in good shape then she'll be pretty quick, for now she's just my wife's fun car...

Thanks for the props on the hatch...we've managed to stay away from trendy crap and kinda just do our own thing with it, and luckily our own thing was the clean look...lol.
As far busting my balls about dropping the CLS...meh, its all good, as you can see, we have one slammed car in the household, im perfectly happy with the stance it has, not too much wheel gap, great ride and its my daily driver so bust away at the balls, me and the car have a happy and healthy stock height relationship.

Civic for now just has some parts that were wholesale from an old sponsorship from about a year ago...
- 5Zigen Miracle Catback
- AEM CAI w/ bypass valve
- MSD Plug Wires
- Zex Cold Plugs
- MSD Blaster Coil
- MSD Distributor cap and rotor (I think the rotor was just autozone brand but came with the distributor cap)
- Powerstop X-drilled rotors
- Skunk2 Adjustible coilover springs
- KYB Gas struts
- Civic Si front sway bar and control arms
- Civic Type-R rear control arms
- SRR Rear tie bar and sway bar
- Neuspeed front and rear upper strut tower braces
...ran a 75shot zex kit on it for about 4 months but the stock D16Y7 is so underpowerd and non-VTEC so it was still pretty dern slow, so we sold that kit and spared our engine any nitrous damage, and we have the B18C1 motor in the garage on a hoist awaiting the tranny which i think ive found and once we do get a nice shape tranny, i gotta get the clutch and flywheel and she's ready to go in, after that i imagine we'll be done with that car, maybe start on the CL...lol, amazingly enough the best modification we've done to that hatch is the Philips H.I.D. kit, most of the performance stuff (besides the suspension componants) were worthless and without the sponsorship discounts, i would have never bought any of them...

word. i hope i can find me a wifey who would be into nice import cars instead of materialistic "benz's" and "BMW's" like all korean girls usually are.
nice rides, very clean! whats the name of the rims you got on the civic? i'll be lookin out for your performance times once you get that engine and tranny installed

Those rims are Exel TZ5's...pretty cheap rims but hey, they look good, were fitting with our plans for the car and im not one to spend thousands on rims given their tendency to get rashed every once in a while, rather replace a $900 set of rims over a $2500 set of rims...
Been having a good bit of fun on the local mountain passes with the CL, loving every second of it..great handling but awesome ride quality too, its an all around great package but im sure im preaching to the choir here...lol.

R u Korean?? If so, you can definitely say that Korean girls are usually like that but if not, you should never complain about how Korean girls are. (Although they're usually like that lol)
You sound like Korean so you might as well be Korean just like me. So that's cool.

oh yes. representin the good ol dae han min gook in ny
and i guess it was pretty obvious by how well i know them? hehe. i guess we are all somewhat materialistic though. but its stupid how some people automatically deduce a car is "cheap" or it "sucks" just because it ain't a BMW or a Benz.
i wish people were more open minded

Anyways...again, thanks for the props, for now the civic is not fast at all, as it still has the stock D16Y7 resting under the hood, but hopefully sooner than expected, the GSR tranny will come my way, this engine that has been sitting patiently on the cherry picker in the garage will finally lay rest in the engine bay and then we can start building it up n/a...for now my wife just drives it and thankfully we were able to get the suspension componants out of the way as they are probobly the 2nd most expensive but also, 2nd most important componant of the car anyways...

Thank you for the props...my wife and i appreciate it when people recognize our work on it, and i love the clean simple look, the 99-00 civic hatchbacks in my opinion dont need much more than a few subtle hints here and there to look sporty...and im hoping to get the same going with my CL-S...recently installed some Polarg Yellow roadlight bulbs which look alot better than the stock white ones...but im thinking about going with some brighter actual foglights, still thinking of a way to fabricate the housing to hold them though...
Anyways...heres some more pics of the hatch in case anyone wanted to see them...im gonna try and get some pics of both cars this weekend at a good photo op spot in Atlanta...should provide for some nice pics...some of these were without the blackhousings on it, as we switch them out every once in a while to give it a different look, right now they are on though, i prefer them on over the stock chrome housings but i guess change is good every once in a while...thinking about doing the same to a set of CL-S housings just to see what it would look like...very simple DIY...my boy's 97 coupe is also pictured, along with my 4-Runner that was recently sold...miss that truck.

It was available from 1996-2000 (6th gen)...that specifically is a 2000 model (front end changed in 1999-2000, the 1996-1998's front end is slightly different, and most people prefer the 1999-2000 front end...)
And thanks.
And thanks.
