You sir, are my inspiration...look for your clone here soon...

How did you go about rolling the fenders? Did you have them done professionally? If so, how much did it run you?

I've always thought 18's were big enough for a CL, but seeing those 19's pretty much changed my whole opinion. I suppose it's the lip and mesh design that gives them the illusion of being smaller...

^rolling ur fenders and cutting your tabs might not even get rid of the rubbing.

better off buying new wheels w/ that low of an offset.

his is 8.5 +40 im 8 +38. so his 12.7mm extra of wheel minus the 2mm means i still have 10.7 more clearance then him???

Im not sure how the offset theory works, but I know I have 40 offset becuase it says it on the back of the wheel and my roomate knows one of the guys from Axis and knows that my wheels are a 40 offset. Now I know if I were to raise the car up, the wheel would be sticking out of the fender a little. I always got aggrevated reading other peoples post about wheel fitment and rubbing issues. You'll never really know until you test fit the wheel you are looking to buy. Just like some people have said before, sometimes you really cant go off the offset since all the wheels are made differently.

Well, because he's riding on negative camber. So in terms of "clearance" you'll have less than him because you're rolling on a stock height at no negative/positive camber for that matter.

In theory, if his car were at stock height with even camber I'm sure he would be rubbing too. With negative camber, he has a bit more clearance available than strictly differences in offset. Both +40 and +38 are too low for acuras/honda all together and like he said in his initial post, he "does rub, but only on large bumps."

I understand all wheel companies have different procedures as to how they measure and calibrate offset, but essentially, I think this statement is false.
The wheel's offset is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. To determine wheel offset is a matter of simple arithmetic and use of millimeters. Unless the offset is measured in something other than the metric system, I don't know how it could be "different among companies". Quite frankly, the offset of a wheel is the only thing that wheel companies have in common; it is exactly how/what denotes what fits/doesn't fit on to your car.

Thanks for the input. I really didnt know much about offset, I just went by what I read in the forums. But now I have a better idea of how it works. We'll see how long I can go with this set up. Check out this crazy set up : [URL=http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9244].

if i lower my car, which springs would give me that type of negative camber as to where my wheels would tuck enough to give clearance of my fenders? also wouldnt his negative camber cause camber wear on the tires?? im really trying to figure this out cause i love the wheels i have except the size is off, but i have seen various people pull off a 19x8.5 with +40 offset, slammed, and minimal or no rubbing. gathering all the information since my offset is only 2mm off of his and taking into consideration hes also 12.7mm wider i think i shuold be able to pull this off? correct me if im wrong.

^^ depending on the type of drop that would allow this type of fitment

Why would anyone actually want to do this?

Uh, yeah! You're car is gonna eat tires like no tomorrow like that. What a waste.

Here's a better idea... Find a set of wheels that you like that actually fit the car properly. Yeah, they are few and far between, but they're out there.

Interesting. I thought you had some knowledge until this post... just cut an entire inch out of ur stock fenders to fit these "wheels-that-will-never-fit-without-fender-modification"

Has anyone run into any warranty issues through the dealership with a supercharger installed? I'll wasnt sure if I should wait for a factory warranty to run out (which is in a few months) or if I should install the charger soon.
