lol, its actually my second CL, first one I bought brand new back in 8/2000, rolled off the show room floor, got t-boned and totaled it. Purchased this one last april. *knock* never had any tranny issues. one of the lucky ones I guess.

I believe the first year the a-spec options were available they used the 8.5's; so 2004 or whatever, 2005-2006 a-spec wheels are 8"

Slick, I actually got lucky as hell, I came across them at a junkyard when I was buying a radiator for my tundra, they were on a rearend damaged TSX. Dude sold em to me for 600, had to buy tires, so I got a set of yokohama paradas, and good to go. I may sell em and get racing hart C2 in a 19, if i do and you still want em let me know.

I have the 18x8.5 A-specs. The last time I investigated this, if you ordered an accessory rim for a TL, you got a 8, if you got the A-Spec kit, you got the 8.5. There was also the different finish, the A-spec's were gunmetal, the accessory rim was more chrome looking (I forget the official Acura term for it, it was Sparkle Silver I think).
If you take a rim off, it will tell you the width on the inside of one of the spokes.

It definitely fits but you are limited in how low you can drop it with a 235 width tire. If you run a 225 it tucks under the fender nicely (but is a bitch to mount on the rim). I'm running the Tein SS-P and essentially I have it set to the maximum ride height (minimum drop). If I go any lower the rears rub over the bigger bumps.

Mine were scuffed up pretty bad when I picked them up ($200 with bald tires) and I had them repaired and refinished but had them make them more of an Anthracite color kind of like the 07-08 type S wheel ($300 for repair/refinishing).

thats pretty bad ass, my a-specs are in pretty good shape, i'd refinish em, but I fell in love with the racing hart c2s, and I'm gonna get them staggard (if i can) in a 19. if not maybe I can find a knock off set.
