His DIY is at the top of my browser still I don't wanna loose the thread
But its for the 3g tl .

Basically :, take off wheel , unbolt caliper and hang it , Unscrew screws and take off rotor, cut slice in dust cover , knock out old, insert new and tighten them all the way in , reassemble ? And which studs should I buy ? My lugs are already open ended so any extra length won't hurt .

Someone in BM was selling some ichiba 10mm spacers and I was debating picking them up .

Thanks Morgan

Depends on what length your looking for. I went with the ARP 100-7712K. Theyre about an inch longer then stock IIRC (25mm). The lug studs are the same from 1980-on, just remember that you need 20 of them, not 16.

The front was easy to install. Due to the length of the studs I used, I had to remove the rear hubs from the spindles. Not a big deal, but just make sure you have the tools to do it. A shop manual helps just in case anything goes wrong.

I dont know what wheels your running or what offset, but if they arent reall aggressive and you want to run 15mm or larger spacers, just get the spacers that have the studs pressed in them. Theyre so much easier to deal with.

Shop manual ?

I'm running 42/45 offset (I always forget, smh ) on 8" wide, 225/40/18 . No camber kits . What I was gonna but was 10mm to start off , I need to flush the rear some more I feel hellasunk .
Next tires on these wheels are gonna be 215 more than likely .

Oh , and did you custom make your sub box ?

EDIT: I just don't understand the differences there's so many different arp studs, I just want strong and long ( ) I don't really care if they stick out the end of the lug a bit . I've also heard if you use the kind that bolt to the hub you have to cut your stock ones .

Shop Manual. If you dont have one you need it.

You dont have much extra space to go up front. Id think probably 5mm at most. The rear can go at minimum another 10mm. I ran 19x8.5 +40 with 235/40s and didnt rub, but I did have the fenders rolled and the bumper tabs trimmed. My wheel sat an additional 8.35mm outboard if +42, or 11.35mm is +45. How much of a stretch do your tires have?

Not much , its a 8" rim and 225. Could run a 205 and call it a serious stretch , or run a 235 and call it normal , imo .

But as for the front, i pulled the wheels off today and im showing threads and cords on the inside , so I'm gonna throw on some 215's or 205's and run a 10mm spacer .I have faith in it ! I'm driving on oems for the meantime. (should have got an allignment after my drop )

So I should buy a 15mm hub spacer that bolts on the hub and I won't have to cut my stock studs ? As well as these are safe and arent gonna make me have a missing wheel in a corner ? And for the front I should replace the lugs with arp studs # ...... ?

Where do I get a shop manual ? Give me yours, it doesnt have instructions on the frs :P

For as long as I have the CL, I will keep the manual. Its Helms pn 61S3M02.

Tons of people run the spacers with the studs built in without an issue. Just make sure you install them correctly.

People are running the Ichibas. I had mine custom made by a company out in Nevada since I wanted them hubcentric to the wheel and car.

I have them apart, the buckets are cut up, so might as well finish it then sell them when I part out.
