I remember looking at one back in '03-4 with my brother. There was a black/black 6MT at Carmax. I loved it. At the time I really didnt know anything about them, but I loved the way it looked inside and out and it was pretty damn fast.

Fast forward to mid-2008, I was originally looking at an 8G Accord, I was going to get it in grey. But the car just felt too big and I couldnt justify the price tag.

I did some more research, found this forum, and saw RonJons CL. That sealed it, I had to get one. I looked around for a clean CL and didnt see much in my area. I test drove an Anthracite 6MT but it was beat up and the owner was a smoker. But I loved the size of the car, the feel, and the visibility.

At that point, I went on a nationwide search. There was a blue one in Washington that was modded. It was gorgeous and actually belonged to a member here. I forget their screenname though. But I wont buy a car sight-unseen, and it was too expensive to fly out there, look at it, and hopefully drive it back to the east coast. Then I found this one listed on Cars.com in NY about three days before I was headed up there. I decided to take a detour to the Hudson River valley and check it out. The guy was the original owner and he needed to sell it because he couldnt justify keeping it. He worked in the city and drove the car 2 miles a day to and from the train station. He used to use it as a road trip car, but then he had two kids and the CL didnt have enough space. We agreed on the price and I came back a week later to pick it up.

TBH, I didnt need a new car when I got it. The Prelude worked fine and I paid cash for it. It was plenty quick and rare in its own right. But Im glad I got the CL. It really is a great car for what it is and it's served me well for over 100k miles. It also awarded me with 2 speeding tickets

tl,dr - I liked it

I'm sad. You are the most active and one of the most knowledgable cl owners, forum won't be same if you stop posting. It is a little weird for me to see all the cl owners come and go. It is like life is passing me by.

What are you gonna use for winter if you sell the cl? I wouldn't want to drive the frs or track civic in snow.

I was looking forward to seeing your cl at next national meet also. Guess that will never happen.

Thanks for all your contributions to this forum.

Ps I want ur header and intake.

This is all that damn frs's fault. If it miraculously erupts into a ball of fire in the national meet parking lot next year don't be surprised.

Lol he is gonna have to set a starting price, and everyone bids on parts from there, since everyone wants his parts .

Does the FR-S really destroy the CL-S in handling ? Because I've been quite impressed at the handling the CL puts down honestly , With just coils .

Tires were the best upgrade I did on the FR-S, and yes, it easily outperforms the CL. Its 700lbs lighter and has a much lower center of gravity. Part out thread will be posted tonight

Damn....I agree with you Brian.. Feel like with all these threads of ppl getting rid of their cl's kinda makes me feel like the odd man out lol. Well Morgan, keep around here. Myself and others definitely appreciate your input and contribution to the small CL community where we all share the same strange love and obsession. Tear.. LOL

I still miss my auto beater integra... i surely missed the fuel economy. 25 mpg city/ 30+ hwy FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I'm getting a crappy 17 Mpg city with my CL, tune up time!

I'm sure you'll miss the lovely leather interior with power/heated/memory seats, spacious room, and the freakin side mirror that points downwards (genius) when reversing (i thought that shit was broken lol), the roaring vtec sound of a v6, the whine of a custom intake, the button press trunk release, the windows that roll up automatically (first car i ever owned that did this :gheylaugh

but i do know one thing for sure that you will not miss.......

the shitty ass cup holder placement,
cmon if i have a tallcan in there or a 32oz soda, it just has to be in the way of the shifter

Good luck dreamer on your future endeavors and thank you for what you contributed to the zine community

Ya got me

I need to list everything in a format thats easy to follow. Im going to have parts for sale that can be purchased outright and others that require trade for OEM parts. I also want to get pictures together and Im trying to get the car back on the road so I can hit up the track at least once.

Just sell me the car with all the parts. Easy

That would be nice if you hit the track. What is gonna happen to the intake? Does it still need testing? Are you keeping it for civic?

It still needs to be installed on the CL, but its been tested and proven to work very well. Throttle response is insane. It will be going into the Civic though. The 80mm setup will be in the Black Market as well.

I am assuming you want to swap cf hood and trunk for oem. I would like em but just don't see how it would work with you being so far away? And my pieces being wrong color.

Sorry to see you go man. I'm sure you will still lurk on AZine though, possibly as well.

I agree with JCharged....you have to make a couple passes. Even if you baby launch in fear of breaking axles...

Austin - Go get coilovers.

I plan on bringing the car to Pauls next week to get some work done to her. Hopefully I can pick it up Friday and hit the track. I'd love to line up with Jakes 3.6l TL, but I dont think its back on the road yet.
