My Final Shoot
Alright guys, it's been a short stay but I'm looking for a car where I'm not going to have to worry about the transmission failing making a trip anywhere. I guess I should've read into it more, but what can you do? Anyway, I'll still be around the forums lurking so no worries, but here's my final shoot with everything on it. Wheels being sold today, exhaust sometime in the upcoming week. Enjoy

Good luck with your next car!
So I'm curious, did you have the tranny replaced and now you're worried it's going to go again or something, that's why you're getting rid of it?

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, I'll post the new car I'm hopefully getting in a second.
The TL is actually my Dad's car, he won't let me do anything to it though
I bought the car with 61,000 miles, one tranny replaced at 55,000. I don't drive hard and needed a new one put in at 67,000 miles, only 12,000 miles later. I'm just paranoid because I make trips of over 2 hours very often and I can't afford to get stuck and spend half a day getting towed to the dealer, then another week or more for a new transmission. I'm just going with something that will be reliable.

Potential next car: 2000 Ford Mustang GT, 5spd manual, black leather interior, 39,000 miles, and SLP exhaust which sounds amazing. Here are a few pics of it

^ I've always heard of SLP exhausts on Chevy's. I always associate Flowmasters on Stangs. Just did a search though and sure enough SLP makes exhausts for Mustangs now. Interesting.

another Cl owner going V8?
That's a clean GT and the rag-top will make it that much more fun. Mods are plentiful and cheap for the Mustangs. If you get it, make it scream!
...and watch out for the goats out there

SLP exhaust SCREAMS on Mustangs, I'll post a sound clip when I pick it up. And to all those who dislike them, that's fine it's your opinion, but in owning a Mustang in the past, it had quite a noticeable amount less maintenance and I had NO problems in a year and a half of owning one, compared to my CL which had a 7,000 mile old transmission blow on light driving. Anyway, it's ok, can't expect everyone to like it.
As far as the V6, I had one, and speed wise, awful but comfort wise I had no problems, I'm also only 5'8. I test drove the car two days ago and it was absolutely awesome. I just need to get a trailer and pick it up!
As a CL owner, I've also been into muscle my whole life. I tend to go in cycles as you can see in my sig, Acura-Mustang-Luxury-Acura-Mustang-etc so, it's back to the only car I really enjoyed. And not planning on running into any goats until I get an Vortech S-trim in there (not going to happen) haha.
I'll still lurk around so you can't get rid of me yet guys!
