My '03 CLS-6 Build Thread

Another little update. I sent my oem harness out to Jacob at tuck tech so he can use it as a guide since he can't have my car and engine in person. He's basically using it to trace wire lengths and connector locations. I also removed the front section of my subframe from my car and bought a rear section of the front subframe off ebay. To use as a mock up while the headers are being built, to make sure everything clears. Were going to modify the front piece near the front mount. I also noticed my rear mount bushing hole was slightly oblong. I'm going to talk to excelerate performance to see if they offer any type of warranty on those mounts.

It's been awhile since I updated this thread. I payed the loan on my cls off and bought a new daily driver a 06 TBSS. So since the cls won't be running for awhile I'll play with that for the time being and to add another vehicle to my lineup!
I changed my mind with the cls and decided to go the turbo route. I'm shooting for 700+whp on race gas and high boost! I'm going to use Matt Hickham's turbo manifolds and his new upper intake design he's been working on lately. So my custom long tube headers that are being built by rameybuilt (which should be done anyday now) will be for sale soon to help fund the new setup. Open to reasonable offers.. I rolled and pulled the front fenders with the help of my friend so I'll be able to keep the car low on the drag wheel/tire setup. The fenders need some finishing touches then they will be ready for a light coat of filler to perfect them.
Jacob at tuck tech finished my engine harness so I'll be able to use aem ems and we decided to remove a bunch of things to clean up the harness and engine bay.
Here's some pictures enjoy!
The new daily driver doing what it does best lmao!
The new engine harness.
The fender working process.
The new header design for the most ground clearance possible.

A little sneak peak of what should be arriving in the mail this week. The day it shows up at my front door is when I will order the turbo, I'm stuck between two different sizes smh lol. Pt7175 or 7675 gt42r style. Well plans evolved even more for the car and I pretty much decided to go all out on building it. I have new power and et goals for the 2014 season. I hope to make at least 1,000+whp and go anywhere into the 9's in the 1/4 while still being pretty much full weight. Of coarse that would be on high boost and race fuel, which it will be on 24/7 lol.

I can't tell all my secrets.... I guess I'll let the cat out the bag. I'm telling you all this if I don't make 1k+whp I'm going to burn it and push it off a cliff hahahahaha jk jk. Like I said in my last post I decided to go all out. No more stock shortblock.
Here's a quick rundown on the new setup performance wise. I'm using the J35A3 block since it's in better condition and is identical to the J32A2 one. J35A3 crank, LA sleeves bored 1mm over to achieve a 90mm bore so it will be a 3.6l, pauter rods, cp pistons, and all new bearings. The heads are milled, going to have them mildly ported and polished, installing ferrea valves, supertech valve springs/titanium retainers, custom adjustable cam gears, and custom grind turbo cams by Sheepey Built. I can't make up my mind on the turbo size yet but I'm leaning towards using a Pt7175 gt42r style not sure on the exhaust a/r size yet with up pipe and up tubes going out the hood. Custom large 4 1/2 core sheet metal end tank intercooler. For fuel Q16 24/7 since it's not going to be driven frequently anymore, ID2000's, aeromotive pro series fuel pump, regulator, fuel filters, obx fuel rails, aeroquip nylon black braided 12an feed, 10an return, sumped oem tank.
I think that's everything off the top of my head lol.

Here's a nice little update for you guys. The turbo manifolds and intake manifold came in the mail a few days ago. Thanks Hickam!
I'm going to order the turbo and both the wastegates tomorrow. Once they arrive I can trailer the car to my boy RameyBuilt's shop to get started on a few things. While the car is there I'm having the block sent to inlinepro locally to have it sleeved, bored, honed, and o ringed.

Haven't been on here or made a post in awhile. I almost have the car back together again. Slowly have been gathering parts for it. It's going to feel so weird to drive it again lol.

Far from stock lol. Basically how it was when it was on n2o minus that and with a 3.5 now with some other changes.
The main thing is it will look clean body/paint wise since I'm having some oem parts resprayed that looked a little old from over the years.
