im looking to buy an 3.2cl-type s 00-03 but im not sure if i should doit because hearing all these problems on the tranny???? whats your opinion on this???? also when im looking to buy a cl what should i look for?

If you can find an 03 CLS 6MT and don't mind driving stick, this is the way to go. 6MTs take to mods real nice...

yeah my car right now is stick i hate it haha....
it gets annoying after awhie thats why i decided to get the cl...
but hows the tranny??? is it really that bad???? hook up some more feedback people

The 6MT in the CL takes a little getting use to. As far as the 5AT, there have been lots of tranny failures. Some guys are on their 3rd tranny. But these guys seem to beat the crap out of their cars. There are some guys running the S/C in their 5ATs without any problems.

I'd do a search on the 5AT tranny issues.
