I Got Owned by Mother Nature!
So yesterday I got the urge to throw on my 19's again for a little while. I'm gonna be picking up a couple new tires pretty soon and figured what the hell, this way I can try them out as soon as they get put on the wheels. The weather was kind of crappy yesterday, but I understood it to clear up a bit over night and it wasn't going to be much more than a few snow flurries today. Ha!!! It ended up being a bit cold and overcast but I really didn't expect much in the way of snow just from my experience in CO. So I decided to drive the CL down to Colo. Springs to see a friend. The drive down was fine but while I was down there Mother Nature proved how much of a bitch she can be as well as how quickly the weather in CO can change. I had to drive on my 19's all the way back on snow and ice. It's my own damn fault though, I'm an idiot for even throwing them back on right now. I deserve to be trout slapped!
Anyway, here are some pics of the car after I returned from my 33 mile blizzard drive! Sorry they aren't better, it was frickin' freezing!!!

Colorado weather!
Man I am glad to be back on the board. I bought a 04 TL brand new black/tan/navi/5at, but had to sell because of insurance reasons. After that came a 95 6 sp legend coupe, but with 180k needs some work so I bought a 01 mitsubishi diamante. Although nice, the diamante just didn't satisfy like an acura, espcially performance wise. So, here I am back with an 01 CLS 5at white/tan......
Anyways, yes Colorado is one of the lovely states where it can be snowing heavily and hours later be 60 degress or viceversa, gotta love it! Plus, if tires are wider than stock they tend to handle worse in snow it seems. Chris, what % tint do you have (seems dark)? I am looking to get mine tinted, had 5% all around and 30% full windshield, it was like a cave. Since the car is white, was thinking about metallic tint as opposed to limo to blend better. Any CO meets or anything ever happen?

Well I tried to edit but there's the whole 5 minute rule......only 20% tint, that looks pretty dark Chris. I was contemplating getting metallic tint as opposed to limo, think it might look better with white. Nice rims though, based on my experience wider tires seem to handle not quite as well as stock in the snow (that was on RWD though). Chris, are you the one who was comparing PIAA fogs with pics on here? I just picked up the 272's (I believe) and will trade for those 224's tomorrow. These 272 (or whatever) are only 5w compared to 18w and give a slightly fake-blueish, ricey, light as opposed to nice clean white look. Also, just changed factory plugs at 75k (2 of which were fairly shot) for denso iridium. The back plugs are a hell of a time getting at. Dropped in k&n filter as well, I am noticing a better idle and slightly less hesitation in intial acceleration. There does seem to be more under the hood noise and steering wheel vibration now though...

I had 19's on for one winter and drove up to VT for a weekend. It actually handled really well, but kicked up so much snow, that the entire side of my car was covered and it was caked up just like that below the doors.

The last pic is not just dirt on the car, it's mosly chunks of ice halfway up the side of the car. Both sides of the car. I haven't seen the garage floor yet this morning...
Thanks for all your comments folks!!!

Some of the guys up here in Toronto have put their summer tires and rims on. Being Canada, it's just a matter of time before we get more snow before summer.
