Man, all of your rides are sick! I've seen him RL in person, and it is simply amazing, best one I've seen period. I wish I would have gotten to see more of your rides at the Stone Mountain meet, but I'll be at some more so hopefully I'll get to see them. Your CL is nice, but I'm still in love with the RL!

You know I'll be there! I don't think I'm going to do like I did last time and go 24 hours straight though.

Inspect the car thoroughly. With NSXs, even if it seems like just surface damage, odds are the damage goes deeper. Aluminum is not a cheap fix.

Sadly, the car is at a salvage yard in MIAMI,FL so the guy is e-mailing more high res pics but this will be a risky purchase.

pictures geneally won't do it justice for the extent of the possible damage, so proably be best to just move on and keep looking

I said the same thing but then you have a 23k carrot (savings) dangling in your face will make you reconsider all other options. I'm gonna fight temptation, go with my gut feelings and just spend the money on a pristine vehicle. Dude, I got a wifey and 4 kids so every penny saved is more mods for the NSX.

but it is VERY HARD to get a damaged vehicle to drive like new (or per-crash condition) depending on the damage if not impossible

Especially an aluminum vehicle like the NSX.

Why do you think most of the totalled NSX's look like it as just a regular fender bender?

Thanx guys for giving me the support I need so that you guys wouldn't catch me on the 10pm news for cutting this jerk off. I got the VIN and discovered that the car already had a salvage title before it was hit this last time. I'll just keep looking till I find that perfect car.

Does anyone know what is the average cost to do a coversion of the 90's version (pop-up headlights) to the current model. Is it worth the money?????

so salvaged before the past wreck which put it off the road again, and you wanted to put it back on the road

proably AT LEAST a couple grand, not a cheap car to mod and not too many around to salvage parts from let alone the newer body ones,
also i don't think the conversion is perfect ethier (body lines and gaps) even using all factory panels (try looking at www.scienceofspeed.com <link)

btw: i like how the older ones look better, but i would take ethier body style

I prefer the newer style, without the pop up lights. Its more aerodynamic. But Ill take one as old as 97. Thats when they got the 6MT and the bump to 3.2l.

Ive seen the conversion done, but it really isnt worth it. Its expensive. Look up the cost for just the headlights. New they list for over $1100 EACH.
