hmm .. summer tires + 2nd snowfall = ..

.. lost bumper, shattered tail light and cracked front. DAMMiT.

Also took my fender lining, which exposed the CAI.

Insurance assessed the damage, $2300. Well on the bright side, I was planning on buying new front and back bumpers, as well as '03 tail lights. I should talk to the body shop and get them to do stuff for me haha. '03 front bumper with the fog inserts, and see if they can order the '03 tail lights instead of '01. If the trunk has been deemed damaged [ it was a little hard to open it ] I'll have them take out the Acura symbol and fill/paint it over.

.. Sucks though. First real accident with someone else.

Thanks guys, no injuries in both parties. And yeah, it seems everytime I post here, there's some kind of shitty damage done to my car lol. I'm not getting any new mods because I'm busying fixing the damn thing. At least the engine's perfect.

Story ..
Was on my way to work and there's this roundabout at the end of my neighborhood that is notorious for being an ice rink during the winter .. I took that into consideration coming into that street, so I was going 20mph, and started to brake .. nothing happened, in fact I was still going the same speed. Pumped the brakes more, I didn't slow down that much at all, and by this time, a slow city bus was going around the roundabout. Right then I knew if I didn't do something quick, I'd hit the bus head-on and cause some injuries or damage my engine and end up with a shitty bill ..

so at the last second I whipped the wheel to the left to hit a sign, stop there, and avoid hitting the bus. I hit the sign and thought I'm out of it, but nope .. the back end started to swing out, and the fucking bus was still taking its time going around the roundabout .. I mean, damn, if I saw an almost-horizontal car coming toward me, I'd pound the gas .. and before I knew it, the car swung 180 degrees and I felt my back bumper crack into the bus .. Got out the car and found my bumper ripped off, but there's barely any damage to the bus. >=/ And that was pretty much that. Oh well .. I tried .. Could've been worse.

That just sucks^^^^

I almost tore off my front bumper tonight...

I was going home...took a backroad that I wasn't familiar with...decided to flip a bitch thinking I'd have enough room and...oh there's a black top side walk that blends in with the night and I heard some scrapeage....pulled over...looked...thinking fuck . There is just some minor scrapes underneath the bottom end of the front bumper nothing major. But damn, If I would have came closer I would have ripped that thing right off. Didn't even see the sidewalk.

Wow. Seems like you did good to avoid that bus. I hate ice. I almost totalled my Maxima on ice.

but it's taking quite a while; the body shop ordered parts right when they got the car. it's been a full week already, and no parts have come in at all.

Good luck with it, homie. I'm still trying to figure out what "Icy Road" signs are for, though.
