^ sorrraaaayyy.

Just got the front bumper back from paint...looks amazing. It's raining so no pics yet.

Need some help from wheel experts. I'm getting some 18x8 +35 rims and need help on tire size. I will get the rears rolled and i have about a 2 finger gap all around. I think i'll probably need a stretch in the rear.

You should be able to get away with a 235/40-18.

I ran 235/35 on my 19x8.5 +40, which would be approximately the same as an 8" wide wheel with a +34mm offset. The rear was rolled and bumper tabs were trimmed. Nothing was done to the front. Im lower now, rolling on 18x8.5 +43 (equivalent to ~+37mm offset) with 235/40s and rub in the front on tight, fast turns. Ive got at most a one finger gap all around.

If you want to play it safe though, go with 225/45s.

Its a possibility, but from what Ive seen the RPF1s dont have a lot of spoke clearance until you get into really aggressive fitments.

I think that i'll go with 225/45. I don't want to deal with any rubbing. Speedo will be a bit more off, but i don't care.

Hey Wes, any detailing deals for guys having a baby soon? lol.

Waxed the car and took a few pics. Front bumper looks great now, still need to attach the front plate. Also picked up the RPF1's...so a few last shots with the C4's.

Car looks great! Is it lowered though? Also, what size are your rpf1's? Keep the front plate off, or at least keep it behind your windshield

ya it's lowered on apex springs. I didn't know much about them. They came with the car. I actually like the drop...it looks lower then in the pics when i'm on flat ground (driveway is slanted). No front plate is ticketable here...windshield doesn't cut it. RPF1's are 18x8 +35.

Ya i got them off Rajin. They're pretty much brand new. I'm getting some Yokohama Envigor 235/40/18. They're ordered, but i have to go get them mounted, installed and have the fenders rolled. I can't do it this week because of work, so hopefully on the weekend.

Car runs great. I think it is in need of a valve adjustment though. There's some decent ticking going on. Seems to be only the rear bank funny enough (that's just from the naked ear though).

I might have to see what price he'll give me for a valve adjustment.

Got the RPF1's mounted yesterday. they're really agressive. Rears are rolled and shaved tabs. I'm starting to miss my coilovers now. I still love the new look though.

Looks great! I'm happy to see the wheels go to a good home.

I ran a 10mm spacer in the rear to get that kind of fitment, I didn't know these specs were going to be that aggresive on your car - any plans to run any more negative camber?

Thanks man.
well i don't have a camber kit right now to add camber. I really wish i could lower the rear a bit more. That's why i miss my coilovers. I'm going to try and make it out this thursday at SQ1.

Not sure if you saw my post on the other forum, but:

This is a rough estimate, but from the face of the hub (with rotor) to the edge of the caliper, youll need at least 42mm of clearance. Giving you the caliper to spoke measurement on my wheels is pointless since you have a different set. I also didnt want to measure from the face of the rotor since the offset may be different between the stock rotors and 350Z rotors. The only thing that wont change is the mounting surface for the wheel, so I measured from there.

Just in case thats not really clear, heres a quick diagram:

You will need more then the 42mm, personally Id shoot for 45mm or more just to be safe since things do flex. Youll need that clearance from the hub all the way to the barrel of the wheel as well. Make sure the spokes dont taper in.

Let me know how that AFC works for you. I've had one sitting in the garage for about 5 years doing nothing. Maybe I should break it out and use it. Or sell it on Ebay.

thanks a lot for measuring for me. Been busy. I'm going to measure soon, and also found a 3rd gen TL with brembos to test fit the rims.

it's too late for an offset calculator! But yes the tip are tucked in a bit with the rear lip. Maybe i can extend them out a bit? cut and add an extension?
