first mods: Tein H-Tech drop on new 18"s *56k warning*

Finally caved into modding the CL. Put on the Tein H-Techs today and also 18x8 +45mm Mille Miglia EV-S wheels with 235/40 18 rubber. I'm not much of a fan of the all-out modified look, so that's why I chose this milder set up. Let me know what you guys think. I'd love to drop it more, but with all the potholes and nasty driveways around here, it wouldn't be much fun.

Yeah, I know the car's dirty and I need tints real bad.

$3.19 for premium for only 91 octane "premium" here in CA, you can see the prices on the board in the first picture. Not as bad as a few weeks ago after Katrina, it was up to like $3.40ish then.

Zona, I reused the stock struts for now, since the drop is only a mild 1". When they wear out I'll probably get some illuminas or agx's.

What is everybody's obsession with a lip on a FWD car? I don't get it?

Yeah, thanks again for the compliments everyone. I think I've caught the mod bug all over again and will definitely be posting my progress in the future. I think the next items on the to-do list will be tints and then a lip spoiler and then comptech parts...

Alright, time to head out again for a wash 'n wax.

The springs have settled, and it hardly went any lower than before (which is fine by me)

Here are a few shots taken over the past couple of months:

More mods on the way shortly. CT icebox is already en route.

ebay has a bunch of M5 style lip spoilers for only $90 painted & shipped now. Do you guys think the car is low enough to play off one of those? I ask because I've seen some stock height cars with the add on lip, and they didn't look so hot...

It can pull it off with ease. But you should still lower it some more. lol. I just love lowered cars. 1" isn't enough for me. 1.8 is minimal for me. But still looks good.

It rides 90% as comfortable as stock, and handles a tad bit better (but that could also be attributed to the grippier tires and wider wheels)

It's a good drop if you live in an area filled with dips and bumps.

yeah and you can NEVER find one when you really need it.

lol

That's how the CL should have looked straight from the showroom. Very nice!

And about that lip-

You will see what the hoopla is about once i receive my Axis Decade with the Maxis lip 2" in front, 3" in rear ! I just think the lip just so much more aggressive!
