A farewell tribute.

Well, as many of you know, I'm selling the CL. This week I have been taking this and that out of the car and slowly getting her ready to put on consignment. Well, as of tonight, it's done and she's clean. No XM, no sub, no CAI. It's pretty weird driving the car without any of this now. I even took off my Acura-CL.com stickers and emptied the coins out of the "Not An Ashtray" and my secret place.

Even though she's going away, I'm stickin' around. I enjoy it. There's a lot of good guys (and girls) to bs with around here.

As for the car... I love it. There are few things I dislike about it. The only thing I can say I truley hate about it was Acura's service. They treated me very poorly. I had expected so much more from a luxury car company.

It's gone thru a few changes while I've had it and I've enjoyed doing every bit of it myself. My favorite mod by far was the silver trim on parchment. I think it looks outstanding in person.

Anyway, let's get on with the pics. I've posted most of them before but I wanted to put together a thread to show the changes I've made. Here we go, from start to current...

First got her...

After the drop, first real mod...

Right after the tint...

The debadge...

Just for fun at Red Rocks...

The 19's ( )...

The headlights...

This drive sucked for those that remember...

With some of the Az fellas...

Interior before...

After...

W/ Sub..

Engine...

And some clean up shots from tonight...

No XM...

I know a lot of you are wondering (and have been asking) what I'm going to get now and I can tell you it's not big deal. My original plan was to buy a convertible hence me looking at the S2K awhile back. However, I've decided against a car. I'm going the 4X4 route instead. I thought about a Rubicon Wrangler to satisfy both but the more and more I've thought about it, that doesn't seem wise since I need space for camping gear and I'm likely going to put it thru it's paces. So, what will it be you ask? Well I'm going to buy an XJ Cherokee. I know, it's nothing special but I've got major plans for one.

It's going to go from this...

To this...

Once it's all paid off, then we'll talk about a convertible.

Tomorrow the CL is off to consignment.

Anyway, I just wanted to share and hopefully you guys can help me say goodbye to the car I have come to truely enjoy.

Thanks for reading.

Sell out. Just kiddin'.

Please don't get those same black wheels on that red one. Use the cool looking stock wheels. I do hope you enjoy your next vehicle. You seemed excited every time we spoke about it. But you gotta remember... "It's just an NBP"

Don't leave this place forever. Don't be a neighbor, stranger.

Sorry to see you selling, especially after all the nice work you put in on her.

I'm liking that Jeep. You ever head over to Moab for Jeep Safari Weekend?

It's nice to see the progress like that, too bad you're selling her. Good luck with the Jeep though...I'm sure that thing will be a LOT of fun!

The only thing I got rid of was the CAI and I only did that so it would sell easier with a stock look. The headers and springs are still on the car. I'll take the headers off if the car doesn't sell with them on it.

Unfortunately I've never been to Moab but I've been a few other places with some friends. I've got some 4-wheelin' pics from last weekend at Mt. Blanca if any one wants to see them. Went up with my best friend and his Toyota and a couple other friends in their old Scouts.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys! Like I said, I'm sticking around, it's only the car thats going away. BTW, it was weird driving her to work this morning with nothing but 1 CD in the player, a registration, for sale signs, and an insurance card which made it's way into my wallet before I left the garage.

They are 19x7.5 w/ a 45 offset if I remember correctly. I still have them but one is damaged pretty badly.
