So the springs are going on on Tuesday, and I get to venture up to Jay Wolfe Acura next Friday to learn why she's throwing a code. If it's the same code as last time, it should be the EGR valve (which I can replace) and a A/T switch, I think 3rd. Also found out today while it was getting looked at for the springs install that the dust boot on the drivers side steering rack is torn from the end of the rack and should be replaced soon as well. So we shall see how things go. Although I am kind of excited as I get a rental while my car is in the shop! Hopefully it's a new TL!

CL is sitting in the shop. Should be done Thursday. Can't wait.

So I'm thinking about what's next for it, not sure if a 99-01 TL front lip would be cool or a C-mod grille. Here is a link if anyone is curious about the grille. I would probably eventually wrap the exterior in some 3M CF stuff. What do you guys think?

Just FYI, this is a shitty iPhone pic sent to me by my friend. Just the fronts are done. Rears will be done Thursday. So excited.

Thanks dude!

So I'm not really sure what's going to be next for my car. Wheels are something that will come way down the road, definitely cannot afford that right now! I was thinking maybe a C-mod grille?

No grill, get your wheels refinished. And don't think I'm saying that to be a dick.

Pricey pricey pricey. Once again, unless you are willing to hand the Kai's off to me no questions asked then we're cool

Thanks for the info. No C-Mod.

Okay so I'm getting curious about spacers. Fitment is a big deal to me and I don't like tucking. What size spacers would you all recommend and what brand?

Not sure what size to recommend but look into the Ichiba V2 spacers. They have the studs already pressed in. That's what I'm running.

Roll your fenders and run a 10mm or 15mm spacer. You might be able to get away with a 10mm without rolling your fenders, but for a 15mm spacer you most likely have to.

Those are a +55mm offset to begin with. So a 10mm spacer takes them down to a +45mm, which is almost the same as my old RJ Legends (18x8 +48). Those are 17x7 or 7.5"?

Think I'd rub on full lock left or right with 10s and no pulling? I really do not want to have to roll em. The roads where I live SUCK too.

Theyre 17x7 right? If so, you'll be fine. I didnt have any issues on my 18x8 +48mm RJ wheels.

Judging by my quick calculations :nerd: you'll be 2.7mm further inboard then I was.

What size tires are you running? I can make some adjustments for that as well.

Wheels that I think would be a good start. I will not settle for off brand wheels. Major brands only. I might actually be able to afford these while in college! And since those are the same(ish) size as my stock wheels I could just stretch them bitches and call it a day til I can buy some new tires.

^ I approve of this.

Im not a fan of Rotas, XXR, or any of those other brands that rip off Enkei, Works, Rays, Advans, and so on.

Ahem, I'm not sure of your idea of "major", but I know we are exclusive and have the customer's needs in our best interest. Call me so I can give you a brief summary on our company phylosophy. 1-888-876-6566, Rondy.

RJ's are definitely a wheel I would consider purchasing! I'll keep you guys in mind don't worry!

Yeah I'd be cool with spending several thousand on wheels alone. Knock offs FTMFL!

Think a +42 offset would fit nicely?

depends on the width. You have to consider both at the same time.

For example, i'm pretty sure the 3rdG TL rims 8 wide +45 need a slight rear roll (that's with the proper size tire).
