CLassy02's SSM Progress (Updated Pics Pg 28)

So I guess I'll throw a few up and use this as a progress for my very slow progress of my car. And I guess some random stuff I shoot as well. I would post it from day one but I lost allllll my stuff when I had to restore my laptop a month or so ago. For those of you, rather 95% of you, who don't know, it's an 02 CLS auto. Bought it from my brother with 132k, sitting on 176k now in the 3 years I've owned her. As I've only owned the car while in college, progress is real slow. But I've managed to do some small things as well as some medium sized things. Painted my stockies with a lil black. Needs to be re-done, and the faces need refinishing due to megarash from previous owner. Car has EBC rotors and Redstuff pads, a Neuspeed front strut bar, and HKS Super Drager axle-back with resonator removed. I LOVE STICKERS! lol yeah I have a lot of stickers on the car. Blue LED's in the doors, map lights, and trunk light. Friend of mine stitched Type S in the headrests, sorry, don't have pictures, but it's just like the Type S logo, with the S red and Type black. Also have a 12in Infinity Q Logic with an Alpine V-power 350RMS amp. Upgraded my bulbs to 6000k HID's. Love em. Plans? Low and kinda slow. I don't care to make it fast or any crap like that, it's fat and wrong-wheel-drive and an auto. I plan on lowering it, buying a nice set of wheels, and saving for a Subaru as a fun fun car.

Anyway on to the interesting bits.

Took her royal dirtyness out a few weeks ago to shoot. Shined the tires and went for it. Shot these with a 35mm Canon Rebel. Yeah I shoot film, can't afford a D-SLR.

I actually like this one a lot. Didn't edit it at all.

Random FD shell by a shop.

Rrrrrrockstar! Didn't set this up just set them down while I shot and I liked the angle and whatnot.

Haha I told you I lost all my pics when I had to restore my computer! Sorry! Thanks for the pics though. I'll try and take some pics of the other random junk of my CL via my phone if I get the chance. I just don't have the motivation to go stand in the 100+ degree weather right now.

If you think it's too much reading try typing it! lol

Thanks though, next will be some low, and that's for damn sure. But since you prolly didn't read it, my progress is quite slow, I make minimum wage ($7.25) and am constrained to 20 hours/week. Then I have rent, utilities, and foods, so I'm trying to save but its harrrd haha.

Well, the flip side to my job is I get a ton of stuff for my portfolio, hopefully a good reference, and experience. I'm trying to find a second job though.

Okay so little update followed by a big discussion (I hope). Ordered my Rogue Status gun show for my rear view mirror. For those of you who don't know what it is, think Rob Dyrdek. Hopefully will be here end of week and be on soon.

Discussion time!
So I plan on bringing the CL down to earth within the next month (I hope ) via lowering springs.
I'm saying this now: I am not doing coilovers right now. I'm broke as it is, don't need to spend 800+ on coils.
K now that that is out of the way, I really have no idea which set to get. The Eibachs appear to provide the most low, about two inches F/R, which is what I really want. I've heard great things about them, but then again I've heard the same thing about the Neuspeed springs as well, but they only provide about 1.8 of low F/R according to Neuspeeds site. What do you all know about these two? They are relatively close, if not the same, price wise. Low is my first priority, but not if I have to do anything drastic right now. Like I said earlier, I'm not rich. Help me out guys!

I've heard great things about both sets of springs so I can't really help you out. Before I got my TEINs on the TL, I installed a set of Eibach springs. I took them off right away because the back of the car was lower than the front. It looked like it had a full diaper

Yeah but I'm sure the weight distribution between yours and mine are totally different.

jacob has a set on his, so does simon, if you need reference vehicles that use eibach. they seem to sit nice. i just bought the eibach pro kit too and it is being installed tomorrow. Excelerate has good pricing and shipping was quick. i'm crossing my fingers that i like it! I'll post some pics soon. I heard it can take a few hundred miles for the springs to settle in.

So been looking at S-Techs. I've always liked Tein, heard great things about their products. Anyone riding on Teins? I think they will give me the best amount of low, most sites have them at about 1.8 F/R.

I have a set of S-Techs on stock shocks. They have probably close to 80k on them and still ride fine.

So got one of my new items in today. Went ahead and finished off Project: Rogue Mirror. I love this mirror!!!

Hand applied all these. Took me a good 40 minutes.

Yeah I know, I'm focused on the roof. Better pics soon.

Seriously...I can see everything.

Thanks! It's a different thing to do, and as I said before, not sure if most people will like it and it's pretty much true. I'm over it, I like the mirror because it's something you rarely see and is different.

Yeah I've been wanting to do something RS themed for awhile but I couldn't put my finger on what would be cool. Finally decided on this. Thanks!
