I was thinking about this. If you didn't do the work yourself, did you really save any money? What defines a 'good deal' and what was the body shop repair amount?

And if so, for me, I don't know if it would be worth the headache or the worry that something would go wrong. Cool to see, I just wouldn't have the balls to do it.

I am interested to see the updates.

NBP is a great color. However, I would never buy a salvage title car.

Let me answer everyone using your POST,

NOW, this is how I did it,...I picked up CLS for a Good killer Deal "My Opinion" and SInce My Brother Own a Body Shop he gave me Easy fix Deal...But i had to look for Parts Myself.

Body Parts : I seached On Ebay - Got Complete Left Door, Inner Fenders and Rocker Moulding. ($350 Shipped)

Suspension Parts : I had V6 Honda Accord 2000 "SCRAP", i Just Swap the Suspension part. (Free)

Paint, Body Work and Mechanics I My brother Supplied, I paid him $400 No Receipt.

Shipping from San Antonio To Houston: I used Family Vehicle Dodge 3500 Dully. Technically (Free) Except for $125 On Deisel

Total, SO FAR!,

About $1500 car + $400 Body And Mech Work + $350 Door + Dullys GAS $125
Sum = $2375 Now, how much Have I saved? You Tell Me!!

In addition, I need Inspection, Registration and W.Alignment - OIL CHANGE, Transimission Flush I think i'll do it myself...

thank Ya'll...

I can Understand, about 95% of the cars I ve OWNED are/were salvage...It is Personal preferences I can agree with you some gave me headache but most of them are/were awesome just minor issues which i was able to fix.

But then, I choose not to be bothered with car notes!...I own them before they even know it,

wow, that is actually really good for $2375 total. $1500 for this car is really good deal. most damage seems to be cosmetic and some mechanic. Even just buying the car and part it out, you will get more than $1500.

I have to disagree to the statement that all savage title cars are crap, because i myself drive a savage CL. As long as everything is fixed properly and it is not flooded or burnt car, i think it is good.

OP, looks really good. if ur bro owns a shop, its the way to go.

nothing wrong with a salvage title (first off, after a car is fixed is no longer a salvage title, its a "repaired title", like i said b4, if the car was done right, and not just, replace a bumper but actually pay attention to details and fix the car, its NEVER gonna be a problem. i kno, i also have owned and own a few repaired from total loss cars. including my current CL.

it should be obouis by now, that just changing the bumper and trunk lid wasn't all that needed to be done, its all the shop did.

thank you guyz,

At first before i bought it...i was Kinda Nervous about the Tranny, but then I had a couple of Hundreads laying around and I thought if the Tranny is Missed up i was going to part out the car just to get my money Back...But after i got it..and fix the suspension I took it for a Joy Ride Before I even could fix the Body Work...and It Responded amazingly...I was excited....and that is when I started repairing it,

I'm Fascinated with the Work they Did, Just few details that i need to take it Back for them to take Care...as to the "Picky Behavior" that I have.

thank you Again,
R.

nice job for the money, since you have connections in paint i would have just had the whole car resprayed cuz it looks like there are imperfections in other areas.

hey cltypeSLOW, Thank you For the comments,

No, the only imperfection I see is/are Chips,...and a Minor scratches on the rear Bumper...thats all...I just need to Wash/Detail this Car...I might Do It Tomorrow as Of No School/Work, then i'll post mooore pictures or else, which imperfections are you ref'ering to? may be i have missed that.

Panting the whole car would have costed me More a Lil Bit more than $1000, and that is Kinda OUT OF My Easy FIX Cheap Project!...
