Blacked out front end **Pics on page 2**

As promised, I wanted to tint my headlights to further black out my front end. So here are the pics. I spent about 3 hours putting the tint on the headlights. As for light output, there is less of course, but its nothing that I cant live with. Not only that, I LOVE the look of it now. I kept the A chrome as I didnt want to paint it and not like it after.

Oh and the Grille in the process of fresh paint (yes i painted the whole thing, even the car color matched surround. I like it better when its one solid color) By the way, its not solid black. But rather more like a metallic black:

I have an 03 so mine was in the color of my car. But yeah i took the whole thing apart. Its only 4 parts. Just take a 10mm socket under the hood, take off the 6 plastic bolts holding the grille to the hood. Take a flathead screw driver and pry the 2 tabs on top so the grille can come out and once you get it off, you will see that the A, the center chrome thing and the surround are all screwed to the grille by small phillips head screws. Just take them out and its all comes apart. Oh just remember to take the A off before the wings otherwise you will break the A... haha

here is the guy i got it from... The actual auction. Came in 2 days after I bought it and it comes with the tint for the roadlamps but since i already tinted them a while ago, i didnt use it. If anyone wants to buy the tint for the roadlamps from me, let me know. I'll sell for $5 shipped (thats for both left and right)...

Depending on how you look at it and what angle, it looks differnet. I can tell you that its not that light as in the pictures. Its more like a mixture of the first ones and these... I'll take differnt pics tomorrow in the day time.

Yeah i was thinking about that but i dunno... You cant really see them with the tint when the car is outside.

I know this as i finished the one side and it was still light outside so i looked to see what it looked like

^ hell yeah man. that curve on top is what screws with you the most... I learned that all you have to do is heat it up, get it to stick a bit and then when you get to the bottom, just pull the sheet so that all the creases go away. Pain in the ass though... but its times like these where you look at the car and say damn it looks good.

the entire front needs to be resprayed. That will be happening soon also.. Just need to find a shop that will make it look the way it supposed to and not some half assed jobs they sometimes pull off around here.

well well. it looks decent. but i think that you should give the A the blacked-out treatment as well. then again, i may be biased.

i once tinted that same pair of roadlamps just as you have and i didn't like it since it had the same purpleish-blue to it. so i went on to getting the '03 bumper garnishes. i also didn't like the lower light output. maybe day pics will look different.

I think you need to change your road lamp bulb to amber or possibly yellow, doesn't look right having blue with amber turn signals. I do like it, looks nice

It looks good when its dark but in the light it looks kind of funny. I think you should go with a darker tint or maybe another layer. Then add some really brite fog lights and use them as your headlights. just putting in my 2 cents. Thats the look only a black car can pull off, And paint the emblem.

I like the look of the car in the darker shots. But in the light you can see the difference in color for the grill and the car. I do not like that.

If the whole grill and even maybe the emblem were color matched I think it would be nice.

Front end is horrible, i'll be the first to admit that... It will be resprayed in summer when there are not so many bugs. And to protect the fresh paint, a bra will be put on. The grille matches the tint now and thats kinda what I was going for.
