P I M P, how much for the headlight conversion?

Chaptorial 10-27-2003 05:11 AM

The bottom pic would be the only way to go IMO. Both don't look bad however.

Got_3.2? 10-27-2003 06:41 AM

haha looks ok... imo the 1st pic looks like its crossed eye while the is300 in the 2nd pic looks more skerrry lookin..

Rpechler 10-27-2003 08:11 AM

i made another one... similar to is300 one, but i did it hella quick, and on a pic of a cl in sunlight... so its shitty

that is the hotness!!!!!!! i want some!!

SilverKnight 10-27-2003 08:26 AM

I tried to do it when I cleared my headlights ... It didnt come out very well since I could get the LEDs to "fan" out. How many LEDs do you put in each loop?

Hobes 10-27-2003 01:33 PM

you can't really do it on our lights because we don't have round projector beams for the xenons and so it woudl only work for the for the dayrunning lights...

SilverKnight 10-28-2003 07:41 AM

I tried to do it for the high beams only.

My bad, I didn't the original post enough to know it was ps-ed.

GunMetaL CLSPiG 10-28-2003 10:26 PM

You only use two.

I'll post directions later.

I came across them on a while ago. I just never had the balls to try it.

SilverKnight 10-29-2003 08:13 AM

I used 2 but it didnt quite light up the middle no matter how I try it because of the angle. I'm pretty sure more than 2 are needed.

btw, I had the instructions from a guy who did it on his hatch but his was easier since the angle on his headlight was larger. Our high beam is narrower.

dets 10-29-2003 09:22 AM

did anyone find the instructions?

Red-CL 10-29-2003 12:43 PM

Who's first??

Joe's03cls-navi 11-01-2003 11:42 AM

How long do you think it would take to put these on?

Rpechler 11-01-2003 12:10 PM

i'd say a good weekend if you already know how to open up your headlights. And we will find out how fitting that circle around our rectangular low beams will work.. I think I'm gonna try it when I eventually clear my corners...

your gonna be waiting a looooooooooong time

01 Red Type-s 11-09-2003 10:43 AM

cool

Jaydef03 11-11-2003 04:50 AM

they sell strips of LEDs that are bendable. and are sold for the sole purpose of making angel eyes.... it will save a lot of time in installation.... lemme try and find a link

Jaydef03 11-11-2003 05:19 AM

having a hard time trying to find it... check out these.. they could most likely fit
http://advancedautomotiveconcepts.com/demoneyes.htm
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2441744035

the 2nd one will most likely fit. yes, it is expensive, but
1. you can probably find these for cheaper.
2. you could split a pack with someone, considering there is 4 in a pack (if put on the hibeams)
3. they ARE universal, they are just saying that it is good for BMWs bc they have circular headlights.... gotta check out the dimensions to see if it wud fit on the hibeam on the CL

Red-CL 11-11-2003 05:48 AM

You guys are findin' some good shit.

There's a lot of options here.

Jaydef03 11-11-2003 09:16 AM

SWEET!
i kinda wanna put them in my Jeep so i cud use all 4... but the circles in my headlights have a large radius....
def worth puttin in the CL tho, it will prob fit perfectly bc the high beam circle is about the same radius as a projector bulb, such as the one in e BMW

GoldieAlek 11-11-2003 09:35 AM

How do you attach them around circle? They just gonna wobble everywhere at least from this site....http://advancedautomotiveconcepts.com/demoneyes.htm

cause they are flexible.... good idea but how to execute it!?!?!??!

dets 11-11-2003 09:59 AM

has anyone done this to a cl? any tips on application?
