Now that's a unique idea and should keep rust away.

How's that J35A3 been holding up for you? Is it getting good mpg's and proving reliable?

Do you have any cool 'kill' stories?

No kill stories but i drive the shit out of it at least once a week lol. Its all holding up well with the AV6 auto. Next thing on the list is some 255 35 R18 rubber to stick better. Then ditch the auto in the next few years hopefully.. Mine shifts good but it can still mess around.. especially while spinning and it loves to spin lol

Good to hear that the AV6 auto is withstanding the added low end torque of your J35A3 Type-S. Funny you should mention that '...it loves to spin....' A fellow member swapped a J35 into his 6-speed CL, using the J32 Type-S cams in the J35 heads, and he states a very similar story. That 'it loves to spin' all the way through third gear and like you he had to 'up' the sizing of his tires in search of traction.

I thought I heard my ears ringing lol. Yeah, for sure the J35a3 with Type S cams is a torque monster. I would keep that auto trans in there as long as possible, the 6-speed will only create more wheel spin (but more fun to drive). Although, switching to 255/40/18 tires did make a huge difference. Just needed to adjust the coil-overs to keep them from rubbing.

Hey stranger!

Have you had a chance to work on your S/C'er and AEM 30-6051 install?
