*New* Exhuast Clip with RT High Flow Cat

2.5" Piping from RT cat back with magnaflow mufflers. Tell me what you think.

Just got the RT cat in and installed yesterday. I feels like it pulls a little harder but its probably in my head.

And for people wanting to do this mod. Spray "Penetrating Oil" on the stock cat bolts prior to removing. They all came off with ease and they were rusted to shit. But there is always "ONE" that always has to be a bitch and had to cut it off. And it just got done snowing so my car is dirty

And Wrong.....

Search around a little. Every exhaust clip you see/hear you will here that. Type in exhaust clip in the search of acurazine. Look at them, all them do it. I guess its valves or injectors is what Acura of Denver told me.

It's ok, Newbz need some mods to.

just buy some in a spray from autozone or something.... get the high temp flat black paint. unmount it. tape off the tips, sand the cans and piping to the ypipe. wash with soap and water. paint 2-3 coats. dry, remount. done.

did it and it looks a lot better. and not to be rude but only naming certain members to give opinion is stupid. if they're the vets, why would they want to look at waste their time on a noob's car?

sounds good, similar to mine

Interesting I actually kept the stock piping size but everything else is the same. Had some rasp though with the RT cat = /

Headers +RT cat only

More open exhaust crusing:

WOT open exhaust

Tunnel WOT open exhaust run:

Yeah i noticed a little differance in sound. More of the ba ba ba ba ba sound at idel. (does that make sence?) And its a deeper, but while driving I noticed it sounds beefier..

And the Tick- If you have headers, you pretty much have tick. They just amplify the sound of the tick. I was told by acura its injectors cause I was curious if it was bad and the Service Manager said "You dont have to worry about a thing, these motors are bullet proof." That made me feel good. Acura FTW!

My car makes the tick as well. It's been pointed out to do a search and you will find that many people's cars do this.

It sounds pretty good, a lot quieter than my exhaust setup ever was, even after having the magnaflows installed.

your valves need an adjustment. just need to be tightened to spec. most of our motors need it before the scheduled 105k valve check. if you rev your motor alot then you'll need it sooner. mine was bad for a while but got a valve adjust at 95k. paid 180. sounds like yours are pretty loose actually, they're not supposed to be that loud.

Sounded good to me. Then again, these sort of videos aren't the best to judge the actual tone and volume within the cabin.

<-- Is still on the fence as to getting that RT cat and possibly some sort of custom exhaust.

Nah. Thanks though.

What's wrong with them or reason for parting out?

You need a good valve adjustment. I have headers and its not nearly that noticeable. but yes, all hondas have that ticking. Get it done, your engine will be much smoother at idle.
