Nope, it was a straight 3.2.

IIRC just basic bolt ons.

These engines love to breath, its a shame Honda strangled them from the factory. Who knows what numbers they couldve made in 2001 if they opened it up a bit.

then i definetly seeing them not working very well, the engine would need more then just basic bolt-ons for those headers to work to their full potential

Not your header, but the original equal length header that Sean copied.

I'm thinking of custom fabing a true dual exhaust setup with an X-pipe this summer. I don't know if I will make any gains over my full 2.5 exhaust. I'm thinking of running 2.25" of each manifold then to an X-pipe then back to my existing greddy cans. What do you guys think?

Why not just go with an electric cutout?

Hes going all-motor, so he probably wants to keep the low-end tq.

Hmmmm, toys you say????

You're probably going to hate me, but Im thinking about ditching the turbo and going the all motor route too. I wanna be the first CL to hit 325whp with no power adders.

And thats the issue I will have. Paul told me when I picked the car up, as it sits now just blipping the throttle will decimate first gear. The car has enough power to start in second.

Plus, when Im done with the CL, Ill be dropping another 3.2 into it and using the 3.6 in something else. Something mid engined, and rear wheel drive

stickier tires work too

but also what happens when you are going like 100, is it really that easy to spin the tires at that speed ,

maybe first and second are useless, but once you get going you will be able to use that extra power

i loose traction in 3rd gear when i spray 125 shot dry. so um at 100 it shouldnt be too much of a problem with boost

^^ Exactly. FWD isnt too friendly with torque, and my motor will be making plenty of it on boost. Stickier tires can help alittle, but Ill still be spinning. I may toss the turbo on just for shits and giggles, but I dont know how long it will last.

And Im pretty sure I wont be going over 100 all the time.

My dream NA motor : Cams, high compression, ITBs, 2.5" exhaust, and a safe conservative tune.

I could do without the ITBs though, as much as I love them. If I upgrade my throttle body I should be fine for a daily. After all, I have my other car still in pieces because of the damn CL

Yessir!!! Ill get some pics of of what I got but its nothing crazy just the beginning of my build.

Its all good bro, Going all motor is more fun and sleeperish because people don't really know whats done to the motor. Also yessss the turbo made to much power for fwd. Hitting boost even in third would break my tires loose and spin. Also torque steer was a bit of a bitch. Besides, pulling on mustangs and m3`s all motor is just more fun!!!!

super f***ing light weight compared to most of the others cars out there, think like just over 2000 lbs, so like a CRX only mid-engine and RWD instead (with bigger ties also)

only thing i would say is that they don't quite have the same creature comforts as the other cars out there (helps to keep the weight down though), but as civic said he wants it for a fun/weekend car, so it does not have to be the most civil car out there

I dont like civil cars. Id drive a Le Mans prototype to work everyday if I could.

I thought about picking up an S1 Elise and dropping the motor in the back of that, but I think its blasphemy to put a V6 in an Elise (fucking awesome though). I also thought about a kit car, or picking up a wrecked S2k and doing what HPD did with that blue CR model. But then theres that little section of my brain that is still in love with the 88-91 Civic/CRX body style. Or maybe an old Datsun 240. So basically, I honestly have no idea right now.

CL-S6 - Have your goodies come in yet?

Id love an older S1 Elise, but those are pretty rare. Im looking at Elises. It doesnt matter what year, they didnt change much. I can get a used S2 model in the $20-30k range.

BIN for $28k
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NICE-...item3ca9a2e73d

$25k
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item414ca3054d

And even an Exige for $38k

same here , but i have never tried one with aftermarket seats though (or modified stock seat rails) to possibly give me just that much more room to fit

The Elise is more nimble then the NSX. Also faster. And the engine parts arent that expensive, whether its the stock motor which is made by Toyota or my motor which is from an Si.

Im ~6'-1" and I tip the scales at 160 soaking wet and wearing Tims lol I fit in the S2k like a glove. My brother is 6-4 and 230 and even he fits in the S2k. I also know someone who is a freak at 6-7 that owns one. He can even drive it with the top up

The 1200lb difference negates the torque difference.
