J32 Accord 01 252hp/216tq/59K
Dynojet dyno:
Tuned with Apexi AFC Neo at R&D Dyno (www.rddyno.com) http://www./gallery/data/500/5766Dyn...r_version_.JPG http://www./gallery/data/500/5766792696_206_full.jpg Summary: Before tune: 241hp/192tq After tune: 252hp/216tq Peak gains: 11 peak hp, 24 peak torque Max gains: 33hp/37tq Mods: -J32A2 6speed swap -UR SS pulley set -Comptech headers -Magnaflow catback -AEM cold air intake -Apexi AFC Neo tuned -Koyo radiator -18x7.5 Volk TE37's w/225 rubber ***Notes*** I found out today that the bypass valve is not opening like it should be, which would explain the huge gains. Im thinking that the wiring needs to be looked over by CC Auto again, to see whats up. Hopefully I'll figure out how to pay for the tuning after the bypass valve starts working again. |

very nice

nice numbers

252/216 is better numbers than a bolt-on CL-S. that just shows you tuning can work on the n/a setups. i was going to use the NEO too, looks like it def worked out well for you. how long did it take them to tune? there is still plenty more you can do to that motor, bored throttle body, ported polished intake manifolds, thermoblok spacer, mugen cooling mods, i think you can see 260whp/220tq easily. good luck.

kooo

i hit 252/220 in my CLS6 on the dyno with headers and an intake. Graphs were posted on the forum. Its not highly unlikely to post good numbers, some motors are just put down stronger numbers then others.

Nice numbers
hmmm...Apexi Neo, eh? |
Since this dyno I got my bypass valve to work again, the guy accidently wired the VTEC wire to the IMRC wire so I plan on getting another dyno this Tuesday.
Also, some more info: A/F ratio before: ~11.0 A/F after: ~13.0 bored throttle body- Maybe, any suggestions on where? ported polished intake manifolds- Possibly, once again any recomendations? thermoblok spacer- I might, I have seen a gain of 10lb-ft of torque when the IM was cold over the earlier base runs that I did before tuning. mugen cooling mods- for NA not sure, didn't work out on the older J30A1 engine plus the stock thermostat already is at 170deg. i think you can see 260whp/220tq easily. good luck- Thanks, i'm hoping for more too :D |
Im sure you can squeeze 10 more out of the motor with more tuning and parts. Might have to contact allmotor for suggestions on getting a port and polish job

jesus, those are some MASASIVE gains above 4k rpms. congrats.

We'll see, I still think I can get more power out of this thing :D |
Hummm looks like ill have to get some stuff for tunning on my 6 speed swapp in the TL. I just wish we had a place around here to bring it to tune :(

Nice numbers..
Hey why did u steal our engine :tomato: |
i tuned my TL-S with an AFC Neo...i got 8 more peak hp and like 12 ft/lbs...the neo is definatly an investment...i am getting a ported throttle body and intake manifold soon...

Last time I dynoed I got 278bhp/239btq at Church's. |
Is the NEO a plug and play into the ecm or does it have to be spliced?

^^looks like they can
http://www.boomslang.us/neo.htm |
just be specific and firm on your application when you order, they tend to fucked up once in a while
|
Thanks for the help guys. The last time I had a dyno my AF was 11.3 - 12. With alittle tunning maybe I might see some gains.

yo nick im going to churchs soon, I see the numbers your putting out, so i will see you at the irwindale track this thursday night right? I took my car to get a valve adjustment and my shits turning off now? I think that mechanic tightened the valves to much? their is no other explanation. so churchs still charge $160 an hr for tuning with E.M.? my buddy doesnt get back until sat due to a out of town funeral so I need to pay now for dyno tuning...:(... since the mechanic F****d up my valve job!dont wanna risk messing something up.

I plan on going back after I get my Walbro fuel pump in the mail today, get some gaskets and fasteners for my IM spacer, cut some hood supports. Maybe some more stuff we'll see. So you want to run the 1/8? Eh, alright then we can all get optimistic 1/4 estimates :D Can you hear your valves? You can only hear them when they are too loose otherwise hows the power? If he tightened them up a little you should be getting some valve lift back that was lost before. Yeah it sucks to say but not too many people are good at those valve adjustments. It took me 3 tries before I could do it correctly and in the 2 hour range. If your valves are too tight then you run the risk of causing your valve seat to not fully seat in which case the whole heat transfer isn't going to be good and theres that chance for burned valves, or something along those lines. Cliffs: Better a little loose then a little tight. Church's charges $150 for AFCs as for EM by that I assume you mean electronic managment? Well either way he charges a flat rate of $150 to tune an AFC and I assume anything similar to it. If its a piggy back along the lines of a Greddy Emanage then it will cost more. |
sold my car for $16,800..:) that F*ck** was abused like a stepchild! I found another 6 speeder for $18,000 but I offered the guy $14k cash and hes thinking about it. hes a older guy and the car only has like 31k miles. so thats about 30k miles less than mine had and still making about 3k. if he accepts offer i will take it! I removed my I/H/E and replaced with stock so I kept my aftermarkets jik. I sold my ct springs but the guy still needs to bring me another$50 before i give the springs to him.......about the only thing I cant remove is the piggy because I will probably fu** up the wiring if I try. I guess I will buy a new one when the time comes. I kinda like the new infinity m45 and the tl-s 07-08. but I think its overpriced at over 40k.

bump, did you have a CAI or a SRI? in the pic you have a SRI, and is that the UR underdrive pulley set? and also were u using the stock cat and how big was your magnaflow exhaust (2.5in etc.) thanks Av6

So basically theres more to be had  |
have any up to date dyno sheets with AFR?
|
Dec 06, last time I dynoed my car at Church's with IMRC valve open the whole time.

thats from a hub dyno right? do you have one frmo a dynojet? and is it better to keep the imrc open? i know the neo corrects it for being open but can you gain hp/tq if you leave it open all the time with the tune?

Why is it bad to leave it open? how are you running now and what mods?

Running alright, never got my low end tuned correclty as a result but its ok a litle stumbly during IMRC transition, but nothing horrible. As for mods, not much new except im running the UR Sc crank pulley instead of the S (gettign ready for SC), the upper IM plenum is ported/semi-polished, got the IM spacer too, beyond that not much, plan on running a custom dual Si muffler catback witha custom cat since my friend sold mine by accident. |
ic, thanks for the info bro
|
can anyone help me program the afc neo please i had it for a year and never really messed with it.. i would like someone help me set it up thx
