I have the Zex dry kit. I wish I bought the Wet kit thought, its much safer if you are pushing over 75 shot. I ran my car with the 55, 65, and 75 shot that came with the kit. The results were the same for me. My problem was hooking up at the track, I needed some drag radials.

Great responses from you guys. I don't need to worry too much when it's all hooked up. I just need to worry about how the tires are going to grip the ground.

soo.. any of the 3.2 vets wanna chime in on how difficult it would be to convert parts on the C-P j32 engine to the CL-S one?

NSXNEXT...one of the mega mods...put a CL-S intake manifold on his TL-P engine...I can't remember how difficult he said it was.

EDIT: I believe it was him.

Yup it was me. I have a 99TL which made it much more difficult since the lower IM/fuel rails/fpr setup was different.

The 01-03 CLP/TLP should just require the upper IM. Simple bolt-on.

I couldn't imagine switching out anything else from a CL-S engine to a CL-P engine though. It would just be costly and I wouldn't have a car for a while.

More power costs $$$

And you could swap out the upper IM in about 30 minutes.

Now trying to find one used is going to be a pain in the butt. I don't want one brand new.

If your doing FI Next year why are you going to waste money on nitrous? Save that money for a methanol injection kit and a e-manage. Just my two cents, Because i had nitrous then i got the blower not the nitrous is just for the wow factor! Don't wast your money.

So your saying I'd probably have to do some extensive internal work so the "pee" engine could handle nitrous and FI?

I won't be running the high boost pulley.

Looks like there is some light at the end of the tunnel after all.

So, as long as I'm using juice safely while being supercharged. Then I should be OK. I'll be doing a lot of testing next year with being FI and juiced.

yeah, you should be fine as long as it's TUNED properly. Thats the main reason engines blow from boosting, is because of unsafe tunes.

Ahh. I was gonna say ThinJim would walk all over any CL that has existed on this site. But there haven't been many really quick auto CLs.

I think sgmotoring may have had a faster auto CL-S, but since I don't think he ever took it to the track, we probably won't know. Also wasn't mrsteve pretty close to your times?

absolutely. and he has spent a small fortune to do so. I wish he would get to the track so we could see some numbers.

I think sgmotoring may have had a faster auto CL-S, but since I don't think he ever took it to the track, we probably won't know. Also wasn't MrSteve pretty close to your times?
I don't think sg ever came close to my times. not that he didn't have the right hardware, something just wasn't right.

mrsteve was really close and beat my trap by a couple mph, bigguy has also come very close along w/ TypeR.

I want someone to flat out beat it.

That is !!! At least I know that I have something to look forward too. What do think matt, with all the stuff I want to do you think I'll get near those numbers? maybe smash them? My engine is going to be a monster when I'm done with it.

I think you can for sure. with a blower + a little shot of nitrous you should be able to run high 12's.

that was my plan but I had problems at the track with the 100 shot. the vacuum hose from the zex box to the FPR kept blowing off, so I clamped it down and it exploded.

look at the power gains i made on the dyno from a 75 to a "100" shot. I think that would have been good for high 12's @ 110
