Zaino

I read Zaino seems to be the best polish/wax among us CL people. Which Zaino product should I use for an unblemished black CL? Other suggestions are appreciated.

Start with a Dawn dishwashing soap car wash. This will remove all of your old wax and contaminents.

Then use the Z-18 Clay bar and go over the entire car to remove all the fine contaminents and any left over wax.

Next you will want to wash the car again with the Z-7 Zaino car wash.

After you've dried the car, use the Z-5 to remove swirl marks. Use a side-to-side motion on the hood, roof, and rear deck lid. Use an up-and-down motion on the rest of the "vertical" panels. Do NOT use too muich! You barely need anything on the car. You will be using multiple coats. Let that haze for a little while. You should be able to wipe it off with your finger once it is dry. Should be about 20 mins depending on how humid it is.

Now use the Z-6 gloss enhancer spray. This isn't required, but it really brings out the shine.

Now you have 2 options. If you still feel there are swirl marks you'd like to get out, use the Z-5 again. Or you can start with the Z-2 polish. This is what will give you your shine. You can always come back later and do Z-5 again; the polishes are totally interchangeable.

Apply the Z-2 in circular motions like you would any wax or polish. Let it haze and then buff off.

Remember to use the Z-6 gloss enhancer between each coat for maximum shine. Also use the ZFX system with the Z-2 and Z-5 for faster drying times and easier application.

This should be your shopping list:
ZFX system
Z-2 (polish)
Z-5 (swirl remover)
Z-6 (gloss enhancer)
Z-7 (car wash)
Z-18 (clay bar)

Good Luck!

are you really supposed to apply the z2 in a circular motion? I apply it just like i do the z5 front and back on the hood roof and trunk and up and down on the sides. Oh and i wouldn't recommend using your fingers to remove the polish

You know what I mean about the fingers... you use your finger to test if it is done according to their webiste:

"To test if Z-2 or Z-5 is dry and ready to be removed. Wipe your finger on a hazed section. It should immediately come off and leave a crytal clear finish. If it smears, it is still wet."

I think you can apply it using circular or the up-and-down methods. It is stated both ways on two different sets of instructions.
