Hmmmmmmmm....maybe in the US they aren't really related to each other.
But they are. Take a look at your parts. Half of em say Honda. hehehehe
I dont even mind driving a real nice Honda.
In fact, when people ask me what I drive I say a Honda because if I tell them off the bat I drive a 3.2CL most people get the wrong impression that I am trying to show off or something.

Yeah, its a real nice Honda Accord 
But I am somewhat disappointed that there is not enough differentiation to make the S really stand for Speed instead of what it really stands for now, Sorta Sluggish.
I mean realistically speaking suspencion is Accord, controls are Accord (I mean look at the cheap looking, inappropriate in this classy interior, controls of the lights and windshield wipers along both sides of the steering wheel, just unacceptable). Outside mirrors are from the Accord for the 01, the 02 are like the TL. Even the windshield wipers are from the honda accord.
It's a Honda with a nicer badge, better leather seats and engine. Simple as that.
