Nicky: I had my Goodrich coated wheels on all winter, and purposefully let the salt stay on the car (until I couldn't see out the windows: safety reasons.)

Absolutely no problems.

I wasn't worried about the wheels....I have ultra high performance tires on the wheels....which SUCK in the snow....which is why I switched back to stock. I'm probably gonna send the stockies to goodrich and get them black chromed too.

how'd you blow that sub out? I've got 2 10w7's and 2 rockford 500a2's pushing each sub for the last year.

mine was kinda my fault cuz i had my crowbar in the trunk after changing a tire and i think it hit the center part, after about 3~4 weeks the side rubber started to slowely rip and then the plastic piece broke off. I now have teh one w/ the jl box and 3 steel bars protecting it

The cone tore from the surround. I was told that my 500/1 probably puts out 600-650 watts....so "technically" I was over powering it

I would but i'm trying to avoid the extra weight. Maybe a basslink in the future but other then that i'll have to live with the Bose.

Basslink....
Get a 10W3 and make a fiberglass box...fiberglass is light weight and you can save space by making it fit into a corner or something.

That doesn't make any sense, since the literature (if I recall correctly) from JL basically ties the 10W7 and the 500/1 together and effectively advertises them as a "match".

So are you going to try spinning your box around and firing the sub into the cabin, or leave it the way you've always had it?

I know the 500/1 is the perfect match...thats what baffled JL....so they just fixed it.
