Xetronic Xenon HID
Has anyone bought these? They have a video submerging the hid and balast in water. Does anyone own these and what do you guys think?

Don't know, but I've used a couple of sets with Hella balasts and haven't had any problems. Also know McCulloch kits are good too. Those seem a bit pricey, but that video is a bit impressive I suppose, but when are you going to get THAT much water on your balast/bulb and still be able to turn your lights on?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been highly considering the same setup. I already have the balasts mounted and hooked the bulbs into the highbeams for a while. I haven't had any problems with them so far. The balasts are mounted behind the bumper in a wedge on the frame. The one on the driver's side is in the same area where the horn is mounted, so it's kind of a tight fit. I don't think much rain water gets up in that area as the bumper cover shields most of any splash coming from underneath and they're mounted high enough any rain coming from the front would probably be deflected downwards. The pic you can see where the passenger side is at, the driver side is behind that black plastic piece (thats where the horn is mounted).

Those poor fishes they could have got burnt ,but HID in water like that is freaking crazy I usually notice now that too much light is useless and that there is no point of people high beaming you back now.

hello all, i've noticed that one of my HID bulbs is noticeably a different color. It does not emit a blue color like normal, but more of a white/standard halogen color. does anyone have any experience with this? is my bulb on it's way out?

well these cars only use HID bulbs, traditional halogens would not even work considering the ballast, igniter, etc., over the past 4 weeks i have noticed that the left bulb's color has faded from blue to white.....
