Worlds fastest J motor. 7.58 @ 181
Finally after many attempts and as many of you know considerable time, the car has run a number that will only get better. The car ran a 7.58 @ 181 and on a second attempt broke a Idler Pulley and waxed the valves. The J motor has some potential as this particular motor is stock cams and crank with aftermarket sleeves, pistons and rods. The turbo is a custom PTE based on the 4508 and was boosted to 55psi. The car would have run faster, but not knowing where to set the clutch up, it was a little too aggressive. It locked up out the gate and pulled the motor down 1500 rpm every gear change. There is no video but there is more to come in the near future and will be prepared with vids next time. BTW, the thing makes a racket on the burnout banging on the 3step at high boost, it got their attention.

Way to go man. Something told me to look you up. I remember years ago we tried getting cams to work on there. I'm glad to see you stuck with it all this time and saw it through.
