A word about removing trunk letters...

Do it soon!!! I just did mine tonight and it took me over an hour to clean off the adhesive---manufacture date July 2000. I used waxed floss and leather gloves--floss WILL cut your fingers. Also used adhesive remover which has oil in it--BEAUTIFUL GOLD. Now for the 18's

Came off real nice for me but I did it about a week after I got the car. Windex was enough to get the rest of the gunk off.

Mine came off in about 15 minutes of work. Floss, small screwdriver, and a towel. No problems whatsoever.

Use a hair dryer on the adhesive to soften it up. Once that is done, your dental floss will cut through it like a hot knife through butter

And, if there's any residue left on the paint, just heat it up again and pluck it off. That's what I did. Only took me a few minutes to remove my "Type S"

I pulled mine off after having the car for about 7 months. All I used was waxed dental floss. The adhesive residue came off fine by rubbing it with my thumb. Afterwards, I waxed the entire car. You cannot tell there were ever any emblems on the rear.
