Windshield Wiper motor dead. Any ideas?

Windshield motor totally dead. Sprays fluid but that's it. Nothing else - no noise or anything. Checked the fuse and its good. I know that because the V1 is plugged into fuse #12 and it still works.

Any ideas on what might be wrong or anything I can do to further troubleshoot?

I turn the windshield wipers on and nothing happens. I push the "wand" to get it to spray and fluid comes out but the baldes/arms don't move. "Its 20 degrees and the fluid freezes to the windshield."

So, I get fluid just no wiper movement at all...

You probably left your wipers on one night...

They froze to the windshield...

you start car next morning not realizing their on... before ya know it... you've burnt the motor out.

Now I get up this morning to take the car in and it works again. This is wierd. Is there a auto-reset circuit breaker on the thing or is it getting flaky on me?

It will go out again. My explanation is the fuse for the wiper and V1 if you installed it the same way I did is not in tight. I have had the same thing happen a few times. Opening and closing the door rattles the wire a bit into place, the electricity catches and holds for awhile. It's simple but pissed me off. Just take the wire and fuse out and either solder it onto the fuse a little or push it in tight. I pushed it in tight. Hope this helps.
